Who doesn't have GT6 yet? I'm not working right now so I have no idea when I'm getting it. The best I can hope for is a Chanukah gift when I see my cousins. That might not be until later this month. I really hope I get this job soon.

I got mine today. It was actually a surprise. They weren't supposed to have it till the 13th. Anyway don't worry. Our first GT6 race isn't till 5 Jan
 
Sweet thanks. I still want to have it just because it exists lol. The lack of screen tearing and what not really gets my tinkle to fiz, if you know what I mean.
 
Everyone on my friend's list is playing GT6 and I don't have it. I feel so upset you have no idea. It's like everybody is in the cool room and I'm stuck in the not as cool room.
 
We will all be on gt5 again tomorrow. On a side note, with how long it takes to earn credits i think gt5 may need to remain the club racing game for a while. Been playing for hours to earn 150,000. not cool
 
We already decided that it'll be the first week of January. I think that will be enough time. I haven't played that much but have a few hundred thousand. I'm a cheapskate though, I never buy anything or modify my cars hah. We'll use cheap cars at the beginning too.

Everyone on my list is playing it too. Haven't raced online yet, I want to practice the new courses and get used to the handling.
 
I think when I get it I'm not gonna modify cars either. I really need to check out the handling with a wheel. Can we get a list of who races with a wheel and who uses a controller?
 
Hi gents there's a big difference in way car drives gt5 bs gt6, when I come back Sunday to race might be tricky for me especially needing handling is really tricky for me because I use directional buttons on controller, so most of my time is trying to get use to new handling, I'll see u gents Sunday might not be very competive or maybe I won't notice difference lol
 
I'm not impressed. Track graphics are unbelievable, but other than that, ho hum. I like 5's interface better too. Seems more difficult to see menus and options. Idk. I'm sure it will get easier...

HUGE handling difference to me. I stopped so I wouldn't get too accustomed to the new physics.
 
The difference is that GT6 really punishes overspeed and ham-fisted throttle. You have to be a lot quicker to catching a rear slide (or powerslide), and you have to be careful not to enter a corner too fast. I don't miss GT5 at all...especially the loading times. Surprisingly, I've liked the "novelty" events the most...and the tracks are indeed fantastic. I drove a version of Matterhorn today and wow, that will be fun once I get used to it.

I think I'll have to practice a bit in GT5 before this race, to get re-acclimated. Should be interesting...
 
I could easily overdive into a corner and pull out of it feathering the throttle in gt5. gt6 punishes such behavior. you have to get corner speed right. if i try to hammer it on exit, i spin out now. it is less forgiving. i love it but its an adjustment to be more precise.
 
Better than a slow interface. ;) I don't mind the interface at all...

I think after today's race I will elect not to participate in these races until we switch the GT6, sadly. It's too much trouble switching between the two for me. I'd rather focus on one game.
 
Im ok with it only if we put a hard cap on vehicle price. I dont have the time to grind for $ so if i run out, i'm done here :(
 
Is there a recommended car list for online rooms like in GT5? If so, you can use those for awhile to us more expensive cars. It would be all spec races but that's still cool.
