Question about tuning?

When a host sets a room, is it allowed to play with the finer tuning details like ride height and camber? I want to set my wheels rotation higher for finer steering control with the Kart. Or , does the host have control of all these settings? Is it an honor system we use for policing? Is Aero really a Wanker? So many questions, so few answers.

I am sorry to announce but I am stuck at work tonight and will not be able to be there for the race. Good luck and good driving tonight evetyone

the lobby is set to default setups and force loads the default settings for the car when you enter the track and doesn't let you select the set up or pit menus in the garage

If you do have a tune on a car or kart and you enter a room which is set to "default", you no longer have any of your changes, EXCEPT, your custom force feedback (FFB) settings will not change to default. You will need to make any changes to your FFB before entering the room.

Aero does have an effect, It is a crap shot when setting. You need to find the correct balance. It is not just slam the wing and now I will have better traction.

Thanks VONSLAMSTONE....... I can't say his name quietly.

Early room gonna be up?

I am sooo inconsistent in the karts. Makes me mad because I know how to do times to at least stay in touch with the front, just can't repeat it for some reason. Twitchy high grip cars are my nemesis.

Thanks for sharing @aerolite

I think we may have needed that prior to race night however. Heh. I wasn't quite sure on the best line in certain places? But that helps solidify some things.

I would like to suggest that if the decision is made to run a race at night again, please choose a well-lit track. Well-lit permanent track markers as well.

Last night's debacle just got worse and worse as temporary cones were taken out in extremely dark areas of the track. I rarely had a clue where I was going. The first race I think I was lapped three times.

I realize this is really my own fault for not memorizing the track in complete darkness but I think in the future I will probably just pull off the track in the future to avoid throwing something at my TV in frustration for wasting 45mins of my life feeling around in the dark. Well-lit tracks wouldn't be such a problem but that track was like driving on a two lane road through a rural town with only one stop light.

I only really have an hour before the race to practice both venues (again, my problem) so it was just super frustrating.

The BMW is such a cool handling car and the Kart was a blast. Hate to see either one go. Wish some more "Standard" race cars would be on the list for replacements...these twitchy super fast cars always pop up on the list.

Wa wa wa, you passed me a couple of times like I was standing still. I'm glad Aero and I practiced that track, unfortunately, we missread and ran in the daylight. Still a blast.

And promptly went off in the next corner because you finished ahead of me in both races ;)

I practiced in the day as well...my fault again. But night races without decent track lighting is just no fun. Like Midfield and Daytona on GT6 at night are good examples of properly lit night tracks.

Here are a few pictures. The race with the BMW's was real interesting to watch on replay. All I could make out was black and a few distant lights. For some reason only two cars had headlights on during the replay. Needless to say taking pictures in the dark without a flash do not show much.

I will also miss that BMW, fun car to drive and when you get the corner correct, with rear ever so slightly starting to over rotate and then it hooks up and down the track you go.

@SGETI

Yes, the game is certainly glitchy when it comes to replays and headlights. I've found that using FF or RW tends to turn the headlights on or off in a replay, although I'm not sure if it will only do this for my car or all cars.

Frickin great... and now AGAIN, the game errors everytime I want to play a replay. GRRR...

I had the same issue when I was trying to take pictures. I restarted my PS4 and all was well.

This is the second time I've run into this problem. It's an issue with the game and it seems kind of random. It affects certain saved data, in my case anytime I try to play ANY saved replay the game crashes. The fix is a "quick" system initialization, it's easy but time consuming.

Just to verify, we vote to replace the BMW because it ran four weeks, but we can also vote the kart off as well if we want too? If that is the case then we have to submit the vote form twice?
