I guess we know when the director wants to drive a particular type of car very badly. Giving us a choice of Lancer or Lancer and Atom or Atom? That's not really giving us choices...

May I have a slice of cheese with my whine for today?

Nice work @gtr3123 👍 But... you left out the part where I passed you on the outside of T3. That was pretty sweet too! Just my little 5 seconds of glory... :D

Really?? I didn't see you I was probably in the zone, did you have nitrous? Oh lessen you dog XD

Here's a nice slice of velveta. Lol.
I would be up to changing cars every week. Then when we pick a loser, it's only for a week. Take a poll at the end of each season as to what everybodys favorite car was that season. After a bunch lf weeks we will all know the best cars for the series. With that small database, picking fun cars won't be so iffy in the future. Same with tracks, lets get away from the same old same old tracks and utilize some of the obscure ones that are available. That Mohave track package is a hoot.

Since GTR and Mopar are so far ahead of all of us, I am disqualifying the both of them for flaunting their talent in all our faces.....shame on you both. In this case whoever is in third at the end of the seasons will become the winner. How dare you not let us catch up, how rude. You would almost think we were racing or something. Cough cough, that's me choking on your exhaust. 👍

Next time I will change my tires.

Aero beat me in a race last night, good for him. Such a rare occurance that it needed to be said....don't get used to it. I had to shut the kettle off mid race. Don't tell him.

In a roundabout way, I get to drive whatever I want every week

You have the choice to vote between 2 Evo's that handle very differently, or you may vote between to Atoms with different power/weight ratios and at long tracks, or shorter tracks. Those are choices. You also have the choice to interpret the word "choice" however you wish. That's on you.

Then when we pick a loser, it's only for a week.

That's pretty much how it works now...

If a not-so fun car is picked, it is only the fault of the majority of drivers that voted for it. Individually, we will never ALL agree on what that is. That is the nature of the beast, no matter how you slice the cheese.

I put up different tracks all the time and they don't get chosen. We've never raced at Zolder, Zhuhai, big Oschersleben, big Monza, Road America etc.. even though they've been made available to vote for on several occasions. Also, I do not believe the Mojave tracks have pit roads so those will not be utilized here.

ATTENTION ALL DRIVERS:

For the competitive types, it is in everybody's best interest to keep a close eye on your position as you take the checkered flag as it corresponds to the results screen post-race. Upon entering data I noticed a problem with scoring so I reviewed the race. The scoring was incorrect as posted by the game. If anybody notices any discrepancies, please let me know so I can review and get you scored correctly.

Awesome, something else to add to the OP... :ouch:

Allow me to show you my awesome pass on you, Mr. Hotshoe... Then my awesome fail as I blow the line and have to let you by... fail... :yuck:

OHHHHHH YEAH now I remember, I tried to grab the footage at the start but I forgot to save the replay... When I hit share it only captured half way through the race.

I'm not really going to go into it deeply here but it is the responsibility (and it should be the greatest wish) of the league director to provide fun and diverse choices for the drivers to choose from on a weekly basis. Offering two Lancers and two Atoms side by side is, well, not that. So if they vote off the old BMW then we are definitely driving a Lancer. And driving an Atom if we vote the new BMW off.

But saying, "well hey guys, you chose it", while technically true, doesn't tell much of the story.

It's your series after all. We are all happy someone stepped in to run it otherwise we might not be racing with the old GT crowd we know and love/hate :) But hopefully it gets mixed up a little more down the road.

I had a blast choosing car/track combos for people to vote on for my old Snail Drivetrain Challenge series. When people raved over the combos it gave me more satisfaction than winning races.

@Lessen, just to make sure I understand the rules correctly: because I raced last Tuesday, I'm able to cast a vote this week as well, right?

To all: SNAIL Endurance Team for PCars is a go. The higher ups have authorised the team to be unleashed. Any one interested please let me know, as we don't know when it will start as it's a very fast moving creature at this point.
If you are unsure whether to take part, you can ask the GT6 team what they think about it, but it's impossible not to like it. It's a true team effort, with practices, instructional sessions, lots of fun and some friendships have emerged, other deepened.
Also, we face some of the fastest drivers in the world, from all over.
It's a great time.

Let's do this.

I'm spending a little time today trying to decifer what causes the fuel inconsistancies and tire change issues.

Well, after a a few trials it seems the "first strategy" theory doesn't seem to hold much water. I did my testing with a car I've not yet used in the game. The first pit strategy on my list for some time now has been for a kart and I do not get the fuel level for other cars that is indicated in that strategy. Furthermore, I went ahead and deleted all of my saved strategies except for "default" and that changed nothing about what happens when I pit. In both scenarios (having my previous list of strategies or not), the car did not receive tires when pit (well past the necessary wear level to receive them) and also had very little fuel during practice session.

The next step was to repeat the "free practice" procedure (choose the car/track in free practice, go to tuning settings & save). Low and behold the car had 60L of fuel to start practice (online lobby) and when I pit I received tires.

It's like the game preloads everything about the default setup except the fuel level and pit strategy. Definitely a game glitch, but at least there is a way around it. I am very interested to know if this DOES NOT work for somebody else.

So in short, if you want to ensure you receive tires under proper circumstances when you pit & have more than 3 laps of fuel to practice with, just go somewhere in the game where you can save the un-altered setup.

Save the unaltered setup? Are you suggesting I have to delete all of my tuned setups in order for the pit stop to work properly, gas and tires ?

I have worked long and hard to get numerous cars the setups which improve my driving pleasure and now if I am reading this correctly, I need to delete them ? Not going to happen. Hope I am reading your post incorrectly.

No, not at all. First, I'm speaking of pit strategies, not setups. Secondly, all of your saved stuff is safe. No need to delete anything.

Let's say we end up with an Evo this week... You select the car somewhere (garage/free practice/whatever) then go into the tune. If you've never used the car before and have no saved tunes for it, the tune that opens would obviously be "default". All you have to do is press "X" to save it as it is. That's it.

Now, if it's a car you have saved setups for I can't say for certain since I don't personally have any. My guess is that you would load the default setup (or create a new setup) and save as it is.

I think it's confusing some because in one sentence you say pit strategy and the next you say tune,I think I get the jest of it tho

Yes, I am referencing both. It probably makes more sense if you've read through the thread I linked to.

My apologies if it seems like I don't have my stuff straight, but rest assured I do mean what I've posted

I did look through the thread you linked, but actually understood your explanation better

@SGETI

I just did a quick test to see what was necessary if using a car that already has a custom setup on it. Answer: Nothing (as long as the car has a setup saved at the track you're running the default setup race at).

It seems as long as we save any setup at all to the car, the tire change problem goes away and we have a decent amount of fuel in the tank for practice sessions (probably whatever the setup is set at?).
