@JoeW

Originally the series schedule was intended to not conflict with the Sunday series I believe. The old policy was that there were not to be two sanctioned series on the same day, but that has since been relaxed to exclude differing platforms. At some point a new GT will replace 6 in SNAIL but on the PS4, and that should by all rights be on Sunday.

Season 8 of the SNAIL World Road Racing Challenge is in the books! Congratulations go to our local hot-shot @gtr3123 for his overall March win. A fantastic feat considering he missed a race. Great job man!

Voting for S9R1 has also wrapped up. The Mitsubishi Evolution will be replaced by the Renault Formula Renault 3.5. It's first visit will be the Sonoma Grand Prix circuit on April 5th. Clear skies abound, let's go fast!

This upcoming week is an OFF WEEK for the WRS, but some of us would still like to do something to get together. The following schedule outlines the details of this Non-Points Event. Drivers take note the details that stray from the normal WRC race settings.

Steward Report

2 drivers have raced their way off probation this week. Great work fellas! 👍👍

Me and Aero ran a bunch of laps with the Lotus. Ran into some damage, ouch. What is the protocol when damaged? Drive to the pits or just reset?
It's a fun combo, great car, but that many laps? I would like to try for the full length but am afraid I might have to quit before the end. Wait, I can borrow a dink catheter from my wheelchair bound buddy and just fill the bag. Wait, no can do, I am sooo much bigger than him, don't want to cut off the circulation.

@Mike Lobban i believe when in a race, there is no "pause option" to return to pits. You pretty much have to drive it around and enter pit road.

You should give it a shot Mike. we know you can beat @aerolite in a short race, who's got the stamina and focus????

Stamina and focus? Me? Ha ha ha ha
And Steve is getting faster, I had trouble catching him today, but I had an eyepatch on, one arm in a sling and scarfed down a sloppy taco while racing.

I'm jumping on now if anybody would like to practice

@SGETI damage is only performance impacting, not Full. My guess is that no hit will create that much damage at that setting.

yeah, I just blasted a wall. It just pulls to one side real bad. It'll limp.

It was a funny way to find out. Me and Steve both wrecked on the last lap of a race and had to race to the finish with damage. I won, but had to win in reverse. Hilarious.

After hitting a wall, which should result in a car that doesn't drive well, it was a tough thing to drive back to the pits. But I also got the same thing when running into the back of Slobban and getting some damage. If this happens near the beginning of a lap you will lose a ton of time getting back to the pits. It will be interesting to race where a crash will actually mean more than maybe a couple of lost positions.
So the race should last around 1 1/2 hrs, at least the car and track allow some relaxation on the long straights. Just going to have to make sure not to drink too much before!
Now to go practice with some AI and see what happens!

90% AI is reasonable competition. 95% might be better for us, but they're there more as fillers to take advantaqe of our mistakes, not necessarilly side by side competition. They will be backmarkers for the guys at the front of our group.

What kind of times are you guys capable of? My best dry race time was a 2:22.0

Well, my gas pedal squeaks and is loose now. I am going to try to contact customer Support. Lucky I have the stock pedals still.

My gas pedal squeaks and I have the stock pedals. From what I've been told the gas pedal on the stock pedals is the same as what you're using with the inverted t3p pedals

First practice for this Tuesday with the IA didn't go so well, started about 3/4 way back and got taken out at Eau Rouge. Ended up upside down and stuck!
Best time earlier by myself was a 2:21.4xx after a few laps.

My first stab at PCars was all vintage Lotuses at Spa, full grid.
Got flipped at Eau Rouge two times, gave up racing the AI, did a time trial by myself...

The AI is aggressive. We can't race them like we race each other. Anybody that can run 23s can beat the AI. Racing the AI is more a strategy game, than a racecraft game.
