Everything should go smoothly. I am a little concerned that PD hasn't straightened out the technical issues with the lobbies though.

Are we limited to what tires we run? I see the event poster says "Racing," but are we limited to mediums, hards?

The tires are limited to Racing Tires. RS, RM, or RH
 
Sorry I haven't had the chance to join any test sessions so far.

I think there is a huge difference in lap times between the RS and the RH, so when you say strategy you mean the number of pits? Is the fuel/tire wear set to fast? And damage is light, correct?

I would love to know where or how you got those numbers @lightningd. Unfortunately I didn't record the lap times I did with all the available options but the only time gap I clearly remember was the SLS stealth model that was 3/4 seconds slower than the others in my hands. I believe that the Z4 is actually the car that gets the larger weight increase and the car I managed to be faster around bathurst was the R8 Oreca.
Now, we're talking about a 60 minutes race in a very complicated and unforgiving track where speed is nothing without pace, consistency and full concentration for an entire hour and I don't know how fast all of the turtles involved are (I know Ph1sher is pretty fast) but I wouldn't be very surprised if the guy in the slower car wins this race.

during testing the other night. 2 ppl in the room. tuning myself, and using other tunes I found online I could not get the audi to be consistent or fast enough. even fully trimmed out I could not get within 7 tenths of the bmw in the first sector. maybe there is a magical tune for the audi, I dunno. getting through the esses at the top of the hill is a nightmare. I do have a pretty good handle on the track as I won two turtle races last year on it :D

on a side note, one thing I was unaware of was that multiple people were allowed in the same car. I thought you were going for one of each.

if i'm available as the alternate, i'll post here on Friday night to let you know. I hope PD doesn't make the lobby/connection a mess. :banghead:

Cars that can be painted we can use more than one.

We use friends only room for pretty much every week though

We do not use it for racing because it has limited versatility. From what I understand you can not change tracks between races.

If you create a room in the club lounge it is the same as the public room (you can change tracks, rules etc). If you create a club event and have a room for the event, the track and rules are set on event basis and so you can't change those details.

At least that is my understanding.
