0 miles

How do people get 0 mile cars? I know brand new ones come with 0 miles but cars that are only found in the UCD have 0 miles for some people, is there a way to make it 0 miles?

The only way I could think of is they got the car from a prize ticket.
 
Very rarely some cars are available in the UCD with 0 miles, cars you win also come with 0 miles and of course new cars come with 0 miles.
 
As well as cars you get from level (eg 16, 21) tickets (that are standard cars).

Actually, ALL cars you get from tickets are 0 miles. Also the ones for golding the racing series.
 
All cars bought from the UCD will have mileage on them (with the exception, I believe, of the Bugatti Veyron).

Cars won as competition/level prizes (either as cars or as prize tickets) or purchased through the main Dealership will have 0 miles on them.

There's no way to reset the mileage - you can't change the engine in GT5, only recondition it.
 
I'm getting myself all the historic rally cars with 0 miles. How you say? Well first you gold the GT rally (I did this again on a second account just for this purpose)... before you go back to the main screen where it awards you your ticket, quit the game and back up your save data.
When you reload the game you'll receive the ticket. Use the ticket and send the car* to your main account.
*If you didn't get the car you want restore the save & try again.

Once you've successfully sent the car restore the save and do it all again the next day :)
