I heard that you can now win money online! Now THAT is awesome!! Finally we can win money online!! Thats easily the best news in this update.

I have to admit, I think KY might finally be listening to the community. :)

PD got it awesomelly right!

Reading about so many small fixes that I couldn't test yet its great. Thanks for sharing, guys!

What about if we start to make a list about these small things? Like:

- Tacho on FC3S RX-7
- Sounds on some cars
- Better smoke/water particles

etc...this way more people can test and check!

:)

Okay, a list of things mentioned here, that are not featured in the changelog:
- Improved clutch
- "TThrustmaster" typo fixed
- Car sorting in garage will be saved
- Restart option after finishing a race
- Corrected taillights on the '91 Acura NSX
- Improved force feedback on the RedBull X2010
- Improved loading times in the car dealership menu
- You can now export all your photos to the XMB at once
- The rev meter in the Mazda RX-7 (FC) '90 and the gear display in the NSX GT500 were fixed
- Slight shadow improvements
- 16 cars on-track in Arcade Mode
- Set-up menu now called "Settings" instead of "Tuning"
- Smoke/spray pixelation around the cars improved
- RE-Amemiya RX-7 sound improved
- Laps, restrictions and other infos are now displayed in the online race browser

"Thank you PD, for pimpin' my GT5!"

- in GT Rally, there are now only two choices for map display - off or fix to track (or maybe it was fix to car). Manually changing the map scale doesn't make any difference as it now auto-scales depending the your speed.
- in online lounge, when browsing the servers, there is a check box for recommended (I don't know how this works).
- in GT Mode > Practice, mechanical damage can now be one of the following: off, light, heavy.

Great list! Thanks for that! :) Yeah, and thanks PD!

In the update, the car doesn't stall? Kind of a bummer to me, I really liked that element of realism in the gearbox, that you had to know what you're doing to take off with the clutch.

It still stalls, it just doesn't go to zero rpm now when in neutral.

EDIT: Tach on the S13 K's has been fixed also.

- You now get 5 museum cards and 5 paints for your online log-in

If you find anything else, I think it would be a good idea to copy the whole list and expand it, would be cool to see it in the first post too.

EDIT: Totally forgot the paint stuff.

engine sound is improved

How so? Does anyone have details? Is this for particular cars or particular modifications?

Looking at the list of little, undocumented things, that was quite an update. I hope there are more improvements to come.

The HUD OFF is great addition to this game. But its pointless to use this with car that doesnt have a digital gear on your dashboard plus the cockpit is really dark often, so this features is only usefull on some sports cars, super gt and f1.

Make sure you turn up the brightness on the cockpit.

To me the tyre smoke seems to linger in the air that little bit longer - which is a good thing - i just wish it would stay for a touch longer though then it would be perfect.

It's a great update, like a Christmas gift from PD! Loving the removal of the HUD for use with premiums, it feels more realistic.
A few problems still remain but I can let them slip due to all the new features added.

Any news on exporting photos directly to USB drives, or are we limited to just the XMB? I forgot to check last night and haven't been able to keep up with the threads.

Sorry if my question has been asked before!

Not such a little thing to me but something that has gone undocumented...

Browsing through the server list in open lounge, I noticed now when hovering over each server's circular button (the one that lights up green if a race is in progress) information about weight / power restrictions, and the number of laps is displayed.

That's pretty useful 👍

Sorry guys, this is a bit off topic. But when you leave an online race is there anyway to rejoin the server listings without having to go back to your HOME page first? Thanks!

The car list can ben save, but only the order of it. I like to have the big pictures of the cars and it still wont save that setting :nervous:

like the 'Dirty Shirly', when tuned

- overal fps performance better and less screen tearing

This is pure torture. The cable/internet guy isn't coming out until after the 1st of the year!

My fiance has the Droid 2, maybe I'll have her do a little hot spot. I bet that connection is slow as beans though.

Still not sure, so I haven't put it on our list. Can anyone confirm this?
To me it seems that black dirt and dents caused by crashes look a bit better then before.

Before it happened that such dirt and black scretches were clipping.

It's really nice to see that hud can be removed but still hoping that someday we could choice ourself which information we would like to see when racing. It's kind of total if turning all hud off, would be lovely to see just laptimes and maybe gears and speed 'monitor', then hud would be perfect for many racers I think. Anyway, great patch with all new things!

Yes Im back to bumper cam cause I dont like Cockpit (but thats another thread).I would like to be able to turn off the flashing gear indicator in bumper cam mode.

Another good thing though is a quick Restart / exit menu after a licence test. Makes that gold hunting a bit more bearable!

I'm sure there was no option to save or load best lap time trial replays in your fave Track Creator generated tracks - only the overall replay could be saved - maybe even data logger wasn't available but I'm not 100% sure.

When i logged in it said that i got 6 museum cards but i didnt see anything about getting any paint colors? Are there any stipulations on getting the paint colors? Maybe i just didnt notice and I did get them... Im at work now so cant check till later.

Does anybody know if the bug is fixed whereby on the Zonda after upgrading to titanium exhaust the eng/exh sounds vanish and you are only left with transmission whine?

I can't check due to PS3 redlighting on me a few days ago (hopes it can be fixed!)

I'm playing the game with no HUD at all, premium or standard. Since when I drive I never look down there to begin with, what a great way to drive. I just listen to the revs and shift. Funny thing is I noticed that I really know exactly to brake, my brain was busy recording them when I had the HUD all those races.

We have increased monetary rewards for GT Life, so get to grinding this whole month. Seasonal stuff is welcomed as you can get loads of XP in a relatively short time.

There seem to be some changes in sounds as well, optimizations in data handling I'm guessing. I'm not sure, but I think you can power shift. I found it strange that I coudn't shift a gear even if I got the correct engine speed for the gear without using the clutch. Going to play some more in a little bit to buy that FGT, I fired up my game last night and saw it, I'm halfway to 24 and about 400k short. That online store might change depending on your current unfinished races, every car in there can fit some race that I haven't done yet, smart Idea PD. This store reads your game complete stats and posts cars that are relevant.

Depending on how hard you hit something the car will get weak or stronger mechanical damage ending up in light control issues or devastating control interference and small power loss of acceleration and top speed issues.
It's also related to what part of your car gets damaged. All tires (suspension) separately and the engine itself.
Damaged suspension can be also seen visually. The related tire will wobble more stronger or weaker depending on the strength of damage.
A damaged engine will have a broken engine sound. Misfiring, gear not changing fast enough etc.

Visual damage doesn't seem to change any aerodynamic behaviour or cooling at all.

In general, visual damage occur more intense now and with corrected scratches and dents texture.

The AI can also suffer from mechanical damage and will pit stop to repair the damage.
