What difference does it make besides the power bill? By the end of the day they both have a fan so if placed properly people can keep them on as long as they want.

True, but that power consumption is resulting in the extra heat in the Fat. The fat overheats much more easily. Define 'properly'. A slim placed in a closed back TV cabinet may last forever, a fat not so much...

Hmmm, shuffle still works in my game. To be fair, I had to mess around with the various settings back and forth, to and fro, till I got music playing the way I wanted.
 
Yeah I can no longer adjust TC on My G25 using the RA Function but could change Brake Balance and the other stuff.

Doesn't matter, 6 or 7 hours just downloading something won't cause any issues. I played on my EU launch PS3 already with sessions like that, often.

Maybe. But if you are going to worry about failure at all, and your ventilation isn't what it could be, worry if you have a fat.

If you're going to worry about it, it's to do with the console's age and how heavily it's been used, heat-cycled and allowed to clog up with dust.

If you look after the thing and keep cool air flowing though it (convection!), I'm sure there won't be an issue for some time.
 
Well done PD! I've been very harsh about your attention to ergonomics and user feedback, but this is one of the best, most considered and user-friendly patches I've ever had on a game. Special thanks for the no HUD button! But so many other little things that make such a difference, such an improvement to the experience of playing.

Same here!It feels like it should feel :) Can't sleep now...

(I think shadows are little improved - now cockpit view is my "only" choice.Now without HUD it's like real!I also noticed that FPS seems improved overall.Only now I can play with pleasure!)

In B-Spec, on the view that shows all the sector / lap times etc. have they fixed the bug whereby the sectors highlighted as being shown weren't the right ones?

The interface had about 4 or 5 sector numbers highlighted, but there was only room to see 3 of them, so you couldn't see the end sector on longer tracks (La Sarthe for example).

Can't test this as I'm at work and haven't been on any long tracks in B-Spec to check for myself...
 
Not fixed. Pressing the arrow button to the right of the sector numbers does not scroll the columns to show the other sectors. You can still only see the first 3. I guess it's not been fixed because unlike a lot of the other things that were bitched about here - assuming they are paying attention to us - and then fixed, it hasn't been mentioned as much that I've noticed. Because you can be sure once they actually notice this bug, it's going to be a quick fix.
 
Hopefully they cap it to a lowish number for the museum cards at least, otherwise it destroys the whole fun of building up a collection over time. May aswell just give us all the cards to begin with.

I want to thank to PD that they changed the bumper view in 1.05!!! It´s 100% better now! How?

All premium cars simulated the cockpitview without cockpit if you choose the bumper view. So you´ve got 1 meter to the car in front of you and you hit him already even if you used the bumper view...

Now (at least in the FIAT 500 event) it´s perfect and exactly like it was in GT5P. I did not try the other cars but hope they fixed that for all premiums.

I have a couple of questions after reading this (and other) threads:

1. What does the acronym RA mean? So many acronyms!

2. Can you change settings such as TCS, ASM, etc. mid-race? I've only changed those prior to a race. Is that new with 1.05?

I have noticed several sounds have been fixed. The zonda R fully tuned for one now sounds like an absolute weapon, as opposed to the handheld vacuum cleaner it sounded like before. Thumbs up for fixing that one PD
 
Has the restart replay function stopped working? I used to pause replays and an option to restart appeared but this hasn't been working for the past few days, is this the same for everyone?
