1) The Music cuts out and its jumpy

2) Cars not loading up when changing cars and in the Garage

3) Installing logo shows up and does not disapear when changing car

4) If you change cars it will freeze so you are stuck so you need to quit

Update 1.09 does not bring problems. It has caused problems for you. My advice is to re-install the game and update again.

Everything seems fine to me, it looks like this problem is an isolated case. Did these problems occur immediately after installing update 1.09?

I didn't get the same problems, but it isn't all roses for me. I play GT5 on a racing seat/wheel with a 5.1 stereo mounted to it. This is attached with the standard A/V connection, red and white. For everything else, HDMI goes put of the PS3 into my TV, and optical audio from there to my bigger stereo.

Since this update, I don't get audio through the big stereo anymore, only when I switch the audio (in the PS3 XMB menu) to the av-multi output.

I'd try reinstalling, but the way I use it, it's not an issue.

I have no problems whatsoever with the newest update. If you believe the game is corrupted due to the update v1.09 then I suggest you delete Gran Turismo 5's game cache in the "Game Utility" of the XMB. From there you can re-install GT5's game data as well as all the updates. See if that fixes your problem, if not then it may be your GT5's disc that needs some clean up.

I have the exact same problem (except for the a/v hookup) but it occurred with the 1.08 patch.

Since you appear to be the only only one having these problems, the cause is....simple user....error.

LOL

Actually GT5 freezed up for me yesterday for the first time ever. Didn't think about it then but you know it may be because of 1.09. Happened when I was going to change cars before a race.

Same here, no problems.

Boyd is your disk dirty because that could cause all of those problems.

Disc? Oh yeah that thing I put in the front of the machine when I first bought my PS3... never took it out... :D

:gtpflag:

If the music is cutting out, it's most likely a scratched disc, since the music is loaded from the disc.

The update 1.09 failed to install in my HDD so it corrupted my data and now I have to download all the updates. 608MB is too much, as I only have 4GB of trafic available every month:(

after i reinstalled my gt5 game then did all the updates incl. 1.09 my gt5 still crashes when loading race????

my friend then brang his copy round to my house???

still doing the same thing!!!! this is my second reinstallation now i have also formatted hard drive aswell

please help or im selling the game!!! loool actually its not even funny!

I still can't believe we haven't got the fix yet to save endurance races. By the time they add it most will be done with them.

Well I tried to view a car in the UCD after the update & had an issue. The car never would show up & I couldn't get the game or controller to do anything. Ended up having to turn off the PS3 to get unstuck.

No glitching or problems before this update.
