Ok, so there is no evidance of Spa making its appearance in GT5. But that should not stop us GTP-ers from gathering there.
A great opportunity will be the World Series by Renault, which are being held saturday and sunday the 1st and 2nd of May 2010.
Probably Arwin and Denur will join. So if you want to meet with fellow GTP-ers and enjoy some nice racing action on THE most beautifull track in the world, then jump in.
Oh, worth to mention that this event will probably have no entrance fee
👍

Francorchamps News : Back on track on 16th April
There is good news about the reconstruction work being done on the Blanchimont tunnel. The Intercommunal Circuit Association responded quickly with a call for tenders, and the company selected to repair the damage caused by the unfortunate collapse of 21st March is already working hard to ensure the track will be ready for its fans on the morning of 16th April. As of that date, all the events on our calendar will be held.
We are looking forward to the Porsche Days to once again fill the most beautiful track in the world with energy and enthusiasm. After various possible solutions were examined, the technique that promised the fewest days of closure was the use of culverts. These pieces meet European standards, in particular in terms of height.
A crane lowered the culverts into place where the runoff area at Station 21 collapsed. For the rest of the tunnel, Bodarwé, the contractor, is using a sliding technique. The culverts are brought inside the circuit (on the Campus side) and a lifting device slides them into the tunnel. The pedestrian walkways are being handled the same way.
Once this phase of the construction is finished, concrete will be laid between the culverts and the top of the tunnel.
With the collapsed section taken care of, the next steps to be tackled in short order will be returning the runoff area to working order and connecting the fibre optic lines for the track surveillance cameras and the electrical lines for the marshals stations.
This work will be finished by the evening of 15th April.
The rest of the tunnel requires additional work that will be completed the week of the World Series By Renault, no later than 29th April. While the track will be in working order as of the 15th, the tunnel will not be. During this transition period we will need to change how we access the paddocks.
Trucks going to the paddocks or the karting area must enter before 8:30 a.m. or after 6:30 p.m. through Blanchimont, while lighter vehicles (pick-up trucks, mobile homes, etc.) must enter through La Source and in the direction of the paddocks through the tunnel at La Chicane, where we will install a light to regulate traffic.
We hope these measures will minimise the inconvenience for everyone involved.
If you need additional information, please send an e-mail to: luc.willems@spa-francorchamps.be.
The management of the circuit would like to apologise to its customers and their partners, especially the Horeca industry, for the inconveniences this has caused over the past several weeks.
