Nooooooooooo!!!!! Dang your TVR and its performance!!!! LOL Excellent time! I don't think I can beat that. :nervous: At least my American muscle held its own, though. :D Maybe I need to be on the lookout for one of them thar TVR's.... đź’ˇ

boomboy, check out the very first post. There's a link at the bottom where he's keeping up with the times.

Why? Well, gee... you are carrying an _explosive device_ at very high speeds. It's amazing to me that these things are legal to carry on the street.

- Skant

Um, nitrous isn't even flammable, much less explosive.

It's extremely flammable. How do you think it would have been any use in the engine if it ain't doing anything else than lower the explosion pressure.

I have filled enough nitrous bottles to know it has a non-flammable sticker right on it.

It lowers the intake mixture temperture to create a more dense air fuel mixture. Hense more air/fuel in the same space=bigger bang.

If you can try foolin around with ride height...
I have gained very small amounts of time tamperin with that before. If done right it might get you into the high 11s....

Look at my previous post and you'll see that I agreed with you. 👍 :sly:

Although the heavyweights aren't that impressive in the 1/4 mile category, I've seen videos of Civics running 10's and 9's. Somehow I doubt any Civic in GT4 can run 9's.

While my 1984 Oldsmobile Toronado probably ran 17's at 80 mph, it was a dang comfortable car that would knock any little Civic out of its way.
I know what you mean. My winter, weekday beater is an 82 Cutlass. A Civic smacked my bumper, he needs a new bumper, taillight, trunk lid, wing, and left rear shock absorber, I needed some cleaner to get the black scuff off my chrome bumper...
lol
And my olds couldn't do much better.
Granted it's got new plugs wires, fule filter, air filter, oil change, distro cap, rotor, and a new factory exhaust. So my mpg has gone up alot today, from like 10 around town to about 18-20 and highway is up from 18 to like 25-27. Not bad for a carbed v6 3.8l. Speedo only hits 85.... that'a aight tho....
I got plans, paint er black, mag wheels, 350 small block from a junkyard.....
oh yes....
I'll have an 82 Olds running 12s.... rather than like 16s....

Well ive spent alot of time tuning my camaro so i think that this is the fastest ill get it

Sad thing is, IRL you can simply buy a turbo kit from sts, and run a similar time spending only about $3800. Pull the engine and stroke it to a 383 and add a block girdle, ($3000) then you are deep into 11's. 10's take alot of HP, so turn up the wastegate ($0), and add a water injection kit ($1000).

PD needs to get their act together with the mods. Most are over priced, and underperform on larger engines. There is no reason you can't turbo a big american v8, except that it will eat rice all day long. PD obviously doesn't want that kind of simulation to happen.

Need to get the launches right though.......

Conad, I agree with you 100% on your issue with turbos and big American V8's. Just look at what Lingenfelter does with GM's cars, Kenne Bell and Roush Racing do with Fords, etc. If you just take a look at the Corvette Z06 torque curve, you'll see a horribly peakish curve with about 1/3 of the torque available at low RPM compared to the real thing.

Anyway, I'm about to plop myself in my AK Rocker for awhile and see if I can't find the Eclipse killer. :boggled:

boomboy, try lowering the spring rate on the front, and maxing out the shock rebound in the front. Then on the right rear stiffen up, both the spring and the shock; left rear do the opposite. That should help you launch, lower your 60 foot time considerably.

Well it would on a real Camaro, but there is no telling exactly how PD programed it. I can't test it out for myself, I loaned my copy of GT4 out.

Setting the suspension that way will help fight against, body twist from torque and give you better weight transfer and traction. The pic is of Nick Micale's low 10 sec turbo buick, and shows the kind of forces you will be fighting.

well then I would set up the front, and play with rear settings to see what works better. I wouldn't be surprised, if softening up the rear as a whole helped. As it should squat better for traction, even if not optimized to fight the twist.

I am just hoping for tire sizes and air pressure in GT5.

im with you on that. more options and more adjustments would be welcomed.

i cant even begin to describe how let down i am with the absence of online game play in gt4. GT4 is the only reason i bought the PS2 modem attachment.

i wish that you could get a little wheel stand action in gt4. that would be the ****.
