You still havent posted what settings you are using, while we have, so how do we know if your setings does make sence?

I know that, that tune sucks becuase when I first started drag racing I used to setup my cars like that, and now my cars are way faster than what they used to be. (5 months later)

Because He just like every other fast dragster knows that when you give out you're "tune" you're car is usless.Sorry unlike you I actually come up with my tunes. Come up with Your own tune and you will understand.

Well, the points you pointed out depends. The rear should be soft yes, i agree, but on some cars, a verry few, it should be slightly harder. Seconds, regarding the awd setup, you want the rear to be a stiffer, because, you dont want that much of a weight transfermen to the rear wheels. But, remember, his setup are used with 50/50 torque. If he would be running like 30/70, then the rear would probably be more soft, since most of the power is sent to the rear wheels. And thats what you are missing. According to my sources, they say the opposite, that 50/50 is the best for traction.

We all have different ways to tune our cars which is why drag racing is so fun.

I don't post my secrets for the same reason mafia and cooldude don't post their personal tunes; for leechers to come and take advantage of that.

One thing you don't do is tune the trans to hit the redline. Look at a torque/ HP graph. What you commonly see is after the peak HP and torque is a decline. This is a loss of acceleration. You need to set your trans so that your shift points are from peak torque to peak HP and repeat.
Don't get me wrong, you are still accelerating after peak HP but not as fast of a rate as you were before it.

I got this info from a teacher who had his own alcohol drag car for many years.

How to do this in GT5? I have no clue how to tune a trans properly in GT5.
That is true, but on indy 1/4 mile, you got to make your gears as short as possible = faster acceleration to the end. Same with ssr7 tunnel, if you tune your gears so you exit tunel at peak hp rpm, you will loose to much acceleration....It has been proven that even if you come there in a lower speed, but in a lower ammount of time, you win.

Come up, of course i have come up with my own tunes, but i use the basics that are well known. You use a basic tune, and then optomize, thats it.

Its not giving out your tune, its to give examples and explain. You can show the concept of the tune, but not the exact varables.

Just like i did in another thread, i posted a example of my tune, but not with the exact varables. If you dont have the exact same varables as the other, your car wont be the same.

Second, what wrong with sharing knowledge. If you are a good tuner, and confident, you shouldnt be affraid loosing, just because you give people tip, and show them how to tune in the right way.

the exit of the tunnel is the end of the race? Sorry, i don't drag online so i don't know how you all set it up as a start/ finish line

he's clueless, don't bother, i run into so many of these retards that also brag online then you run them and it's not even close.

Really? funny becuase I see retards like you posting these tunes, but yet when I see them in rooms, I smoke them every time. loll

Its different to post your exact tune, and to post the concept you are using. Maffia and cooldude have released basic tunes, but not with the same variables they are using. Second, they do help and give good advice, i know, because i have played with them. I help alot of people with tuning, so they can tune their car similar to mine, but i dont give them exactly the same varables that i use. For example, my first gear might be 3.566, but i say to them make 1st gear so you do like 55 mph. You see, differance....

I'm gonna try 1/4 mile drag and I would like to know what settings effect launch at Indy but not as much ssr7. I know from ssr7 some things like toe, spring rate and ride height. Are there any other settings that I might want to look at to adjust for launch?

Retards, well, a retard would certanly not write this stuff nor would he be into drag tuning. Second, people hardly speak about tuning technics in drag rooms, and certanly not these things. But, at least they try to help. Second, you can tune your can slightly different, still it can be a close race. On some cars, the suspension hardly matters, the car still launches pretty good. So it could be more than just one way to tune the cars.

You must be the retard if you think my transmission trick would result in 50 mph top speed. Actually, this is a old trick used in gt4, and still quite effective in gt5 as well.

Do you really think you have the ultimate setup on your cars? Well, in that case you would beat people like flaco, sammy, juancho, maffia, cooldude, d2, yuma, etc, etc, which i consider have optimized tunes.

thank you tt3az.

Whatever man a 9-12 second car isn't a a top fuel dragster and I've seen plenty of RWD and 4WD matchups and 4WD losses every time. I highly doubt that a GTR (hell, any 4WD car) can lanch like what they do in GT5. Like I said before I don't know about alot of drag racing in real life but I do know, that there is a reason why when you go higher up in the brackets, lower in seconds you see more RWD, not 4WD. I know people who are into drag racing and the've told me and explained why RWD is supreior to 4WD. But just like in GT5 and in real life it all depends on the who has the better tune.

Honestly I don't care about 4WD vs RWD, but the point is, the tunes that you stated in your post; suck both RWD and 4WD.

Well fyi IRL the best GTR's at the moment are running 8.9's , and when the full potential is unlocked from them, then yes they will be very fast and will launch how they do on GT5.

Also stop claiming your a pro tuner and such, your mouth really has gone a long way to saying you could beat all the drag tuners here on GTP :grumpy: .
