Well to start off this thread I'd like to gloat and mention that I have the top ranking position on Suzuka circuit pro physics with a G25 at a time of 2.28.518 with the Mazda RX-8. Yay me.

Now with an actual question i'd like to ask, has anybody else with the G25 experienced mis-shifts? By that I mean sometimes it will pop into neutral when gearing up quickly OR when gearing down will jump into a higher gear? (i.e, 2nd all of a sudden is 4th)

Do I have a broken shifting unit? Or is this more of Kaz's amazing depth into racing?
 
If you don't time your shift right with your clutch it will pop into neutral. But if you have the top time on Suzuka you probably already know that. I don't know about the jumping into a higher gear.
 
the G25 does have a short-throw shifter, so it just takes some time getting used to if you are indeed mis-shifting into incorrect gears.

Congrats on the time, I did have tons of no.1's on Eiger, too bad they get wiped with every little update :(

Mis-shifts happen to all of us from time to time.
 
Miss-shifts are happening all the time to me. Of course, it does happen IRL too, but the lack of "feel" to the G25 gearbox makes it a more regular occurrence in GT5P. It can be pretty frustrating. :ouch:
 
Sorry but I had a go and took first spot so you're #2 now :) Couldn't resist. I'm sure you (or anyone else) can do faster, keep practicing :)
 
I love how it was another 4AGE owner who beat my time.

But dont worry I already know that I made plenty of mistakes on my lap not only that it was my second lap that I did it.

Nice battle for sure. Do you think you can go much faster then this 27.0 ? I think for me 26.8 might be possible but it's damn hard to get the right sectors together in 1 lap lol !

A high 26 is doable, but yeah, for me is also damn hard to get three good split sectors together in one single lap.

But still, you'll have to buy those glasses LOL

Ok I dont get it Suzuka is just crazy ,I think almost everyone is driving blindfolded I cant go around one turn without getting punted. Has it always been this bad??( I mostly play daytona and high speed ring). Is this supposed to be fun ??
