I think I spelled the track name wrong, but whatever.

I wonder how many pit stops there are in the Nurburbring?

If there's only one then will it be hard to go 13 miles on one car?

What I mean is will it be tough to make a car not go to the 'red' point for tire damage?

You shouldn't be running R5 super soft tires in a race anyway.

For a practical tire (S2s, R2s) in a race you can make it 2-4 laps depending on how aggressive your driving is. Fuel lasts around 6-8 laps depending on the same.

For hotlapping in gt mode or arcade tire wear and fuel are not issues.

Consider Nordschleife as a normal race track (just a bit longer). And all tracks have one pit-stop place. Can't imagine great usefullness for more than one pit stop place ...

Actually there is no more Pit-Stop-Possibility on the classic Nordschleife. The old Pits were exactly at the starting line in GT4 but very soon they were too small.

Today the pits are on the Grand-Prix-Circuit (if you imagine to be able to drive straight throught the barriers at the end of "Döttinger Höhe"). But the old pits are also sometimes used for big endurance races.

During last years 24 Houres Race even a complete Part of the Grand Prix Circuit (the Dunlop Slope/Müllenbach-Schleife)turned to a new paddock club and pit-area, because of the large amount of participating cars.

Oh, and by the way:

A newbie could be able to ruin his tires in real life with only one lap !!!!

I managed this 5 years ago

So what happens in GT4 when you run out of fuel? Do youjust coast to a holt and end of the race for you? I also assume that the fuel only plays a partin the endurance races and not in the 2, 5, 10 lap races, am i right?

When you run out of fuel you are limited to a top speed of 80kp/h until you can get back to the pits to re-fuel. I dunno which races fuel is on for apart from endurances.

Fuel is in all races in gt mode, but only comes into play in the endurnace races.

In B-spec you can't run out of fuel. If you car is low on fuel it automatically sends you to the pits at the end of that lap before you can run out.

I know this is a stupid question, but does fuel consumtion vary depending upon vehicle? :dopey:

That isn't a stupid question, but my guess is that it does. In real life it does, and if tire wear can vary (in the game, as in real life) with each car and with driving style, then why not? I would be really surprised if it does not.

Especially with those older muscle cars, they'll probably get some of the worst mileage. To be honest, I dont like the addition of fuel that much.

is the MRQ400 in the game? and does it get 4 ingame mpg if it is?

Ah, the car with one of the longest names ever.. hehe. "Mistubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ400". :) That's a mouthful...

No, I don't think it is. There is one Evo MR, but it appears to be the FQ320.

Think of the Old Z06.......but it has a 22 gallon tank to compensate. I too wonder about weight transfer from fuel load, tire wear due to fuel weight, ect.

It's not in the game, but you can get virtually the same car by taking an Evo MR and tuning it to 400hp. And I would assume it would get it's horrific fuel mileage once tuned.

nice avatar isnt that the pic I posted in general chat?

Well let's see here... only one pit stop on nurburgring, so you'd best think about your fuel and tire situation before you pass it.

The cars do consume fuel as well as NOS differently.

All cars have the same size fuel tank (I think 80 litres which is far more than most cars come with).

All races have fuel consumption, but it is irrelevant in the vast majority of races. Free runs on the tracks do not consume fuel, and your fuel gauge is removed for the duration of the run.

I'd like to know if the amount of fuel you have in a car affects the weight of the car. I don't know, but I'm sure there are some of you who would be able to tell the difference.

And in 93-95 RX-7s, is there fuel cut with less than 1/4 tank and in high-G cornering? Now *that* would be realism. lol. :dopey:

That would be one implementation I would not want to see.

"Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (think it's VI) GSR Tommi Makinnen Editon" is even longer.

But they do abbreviate it as T.M.E in the Used Car lot.

I want to do a fuel comparison between the BMW120i and BMW120d as that would give a good indication that there is a difference in consumption between cars. The 120d diesel should go further on its fuel.

No longer than, Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C WR-Limited, 19 sylobels of it
