Now that FM5 has been officially announced, I'd like to take the opportunity to start a car wishlist thread similar to the one I made for FM4 DLC.

I will use my list of FM4 DLC suggested cars as a base list, and will allow everyone to suggest 10 cars they would like to see in the game.

Suggest whatever 10 cars you want. However, if you already suggested 10 in the last thread, then please choose a different 10, in order to not skew the results unfairly.

Please do not suggest any Porsches.

Please do not suggest any that were "dropped" from FM4. I have made a separate column which shows cars returning to the series.

Please list year of vehicle to make adding to list easier.

My list:
1963 Buick Riviera Coupe
2002 Cadillac Eldorado ETC
1969 Chevy Chevelle Yenko SC 427
1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
1967 Ford Fairlane 427
1993 Ford Taurus SHO
1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
1989 Lincoln Mark VII GTC
1984 Mercury Cougar XR-7
1971 Plymouth Duster 340

Current list:

My list will contain a few TVR's that were not in FM4, since I feel the brand hasn't been given the respect that it deserves. However while my selection will contain quite a few cars from one brand, it will not exclude other brands since FM5 needs a more balanced list this time around in my view.

___________

'2000' Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupe
'2008' Bentley Arnage Final Series
'2007' BMW M5 Touring
'2002' Jaguar XJR 100
'1993' Marcos LM600 - Race Car
'2000' TVR Cerbera 4.5
'1994' TVR Griffith 500
'2001' TVR T400R
'1989' TVR Tuscan Challenge - Race Car
'2004' TVR Typhon

Closing Thoughts: I feel that all TVR's from FM4 will return in FM5, which is one reason for not including them in my list.

1967 Olds 442

I certainly hope you are right HAL20XX on the FXX, bingo on the others, I would add the 2014 Corvette as it has not been seen yet.

These are already in FM4. It's highly likely they'll be ported over 👍

The F12 is in Horizon and given it's tight relationship with the motorsport series, i suspect that to be included as well.

2001 RX7 LM Race car
1992 Nissan R92CP race car
1998 Mercedes CLK GTR Race Car
2001 S2000 LM Race car
2001 Jaguar XJ220 LM Race car

RX7 LM Race car like the one in GT
Nissan 92CP race car
Mercedes CLK GTR Race Car
S2000 LM Race car like the one in GT
Jaguar XJ220 LM Race car

Seeing as the two GT cars were fantasy cars made by PD, good luck. Though, the Spoon S2000 Race car is real.

So, just as a refresher, my post from the old list:

I'll bite...

1. '91 Mazda 787B
2. '70 Mitsubishi Galant GTO MR
3. '11 Ford Mustang Boss 302 (Laguna Seca package as bodykit option?)
4. '93 Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car (for the sound alone!) - Sort of.
5. '94 Mazda Cosmo 20B Type ECCS
6. '85 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16
7. '95 Suzuki Cappuccino
8. '02 Volkswagen Lupo GTI
9. '98 Dodge Copperhead Concept
10. '11 Hyundai Veloster

And after those first three dropped, I added three more:

  • 2012 Fisker Karma - Because it's the first hybrid to truly interest me.
  • 2000 Ford Racing Puma - Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet (judging by the txt file). It was an overpriced oddity back when released, but that matters little in game. Give us the chance to deck it out in full Kit Car craziness and I'd be oh so happy.
  • 1999 Subaru Forester STi - The turbo nutter "SUV" of choice.

The Pug and Mustang ended up included in the series, so I think my list ended up doing pretty well, with a 50% rate (if you're generous about the Alfa). So, for my new ten?

2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S - Almost said the new Vanquish, but that's probably a shoe-in. This, less likely. I think, as the only modern Aston without the ubiquitous V12, this should be in for completeness, and for the sound. It's a great car on it's own merit.
1993 Mazda MX-3 GS - Tiny V6, an interesting car, lots of swap possibilities.
1996 Subaru Alcyone SVX LSi - I miss it. I miss it badly.
1995 Mazda Eunos Cosmo 20B - Sure, I want it for the 20B swappage potential, but also because the car is still seriously cool.
1967 Mazda Cosmo Sport 110 - Because we need the beginning of the breed.
2004 MG ZT-T 260 - Because the idea of a staid, front-drive British wagon being turned into a Mustang-powered rear-driver is exactly what enthusiasts are about.
2002 Audi A2 1.6 FSI - A car ahead of its time, we wouldn't have to worry about the problems it suffered in real life, in the game. Plus, how many modern city cars can you say were designed by the man who also pens Lambos?
2012 Audi TT-RS Racecar - This isn't madness, this is front-drive!
1994 Nissan Sentra SE-R - This would undoubtedly become a leaderboard car, this I am certain.
2013 Mazda 6 Skyactiv-D Racecar - Pretty, rear drive, diesel, 400hp? Sign me up.

1) '01 Caterham Seven Fireblade
2) '70 Mini Cooper S
3) '14 Chevrolet Corvette C7 (Guessing this one is in)
4) '13 Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype
5) '13 HPD ARX-03a
6) '34 Alfa Romeo Aerodinamica Spider
7) '13 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3
8) '13 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3
9) '54 MG TF 1500 Midget
10) '95 McLaren F1 LM

For reference, hopefully I have better luck this time.:nervous:

1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (Was on the Jalopnik list so there is hope)
1969 Alfa Romeo Spider
1993 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI (DTM race car)

edit: The above are my three favorite periods in F1, so ideally we'd have the full field from each of those periods :) A guy can dream, right?

(The last three are on the condition that T10 has finally manned up and built a new engine that can handle open wheel cars, which I'm doubting at this moment)

Can you tell I like the idea of open wheel? And the Prowler with a decent upgrade systems(*looks at GT5*) could be tons of fun, if it's got the right options.

And honestly, I'd kinda like to see some real trucks just for the fun of it, so:

2008 F350, quad cab, 8' bed.
2013 RAM 3500
2013 Chevy 3500

There's some fantastic suggestions in here! 👍

EDIT: Although the car count is likely staying about the same or even shrinking since nearly every car in the game is seemingly being re-modeled, so I'm not expecting to see many of these. Especially with 2014 models coming out. Oh well.

2013 Boss Mustang Laguna Seca

Technically, that's in there now (er, or at least was in FM4), since you can get the LS package add-ons from the tuning section. I suppose some of the settings will be slightly off, but it'd be minor.

Yeah that's the one part I'm disappointed in. However, there will be DLC eventually, so they will still be applicable.

Ah, right. The Boss being in DLC slipped my mind for some reason. Some reason being a serious lack of sleep. :D

I guess I'd go ahead and replace that one, then.

I'd have to think they had the forethought to model most of the cars they redid for Forza 4 to a level of detail high enough for Forza 5. So I don't see that being too much of a problem.

I think most of the Forza 4 models would be fine even as is (this is a launch game, after all), but on the other hand there are a good amount of ones that really do need to be thrown out and redone from scratch, and quite a few more that it couldn't hurt to have them fixed up a bit (plus the Porsche thing); but overall I'd say you're probably right on this. Maybe lose a bunch of cars and gain a bunch of cars as replacements, with most of the work spent towards increasing the fidelity of the models instead.
