You can also peform the oil change after each race in the championship events for those that did not know.
cartmanHi guys ı cant decide a car to go on: 300sl
e- type
AC(cobra)
yetiI was getting 7 with fully specced E-type but had no chance in winning...
My competitive AC Cobra got me 1 point.
I think the best way to get good points it to race when the AC isn't there!!

LethalchemI didn't run against the AC, but I was putting 8 laps on the field by the time I was finished. I hadn't expected that, since the G4 only had 100hp or something lame like that.![]()
yetiHmmmm...
Very odd then... Seems that this race has some very strict A-spec criteria then...
The G4 is quite useful though as it's very very light... so that might have minimised your points?

Unless you had a brand new 117 coupe (which you win in the Isuzu event race), it's to do with the chassis and you needed to do a body restore/refresh before you started the racing.
BTW.......HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN!!👍
Just finished perhaps the greatest race of my GT career.
1000 Miles Round 2: Opera Paris (95 laps)
Qualified on pole, with a total stock Isuzu. About 120 hp. Hard Sports tyres.
Time: 1:47.475.
I estimated I was just about 2 seconds faster than the Mercedes Coupe, so I 'penalised' myself (I have a rule where if I am 2 second a lap faster, on a 1:00-2:00 lap time track, then I take either power or tyre grip off the car).
As I could only change tyres, I fitted street normal tyres for the race.
34 a-spec points
The race was incredibly close. I could never get away from the Merc. I kept the lead for about the first 18 laps, never more then 5 seconds ahead. The Mercedes would pass me on the back straight, and I would outbrake him into the sharp right-hander at the end of it.
The Mercedes pitted at the end of lap 20. I carried on until lap 26, where my tyres were shot. I lost time staying out, and came out just in front of the Mercedes, who passed me in a number of seconds. I decided to change to a 4 stop strategy, like the Merc. Staying out on worn tyres would cost me too much time.
My first two laps on cold tyres were always very slow throughout the race. The Merc got out to a 8 second lead at one stage.
However, lapped cars were my greatest ally. The Merc lost the lead about three times due to lapped cars.
I pitted on laps 26,46, 66, and 80. Thus, I pitted at the same time as the Merc on lap 80. I had a slender 3 second lead at that stage. I decided to pit on the same lap, as the Merc murdered me and passed me for the lead throughout the race when I was on cold tyres.
The pressure was on. I haven't been as nervous as this for a long time in GT. The nerves meant I just couldn't get into a rhythm. And my lap times slipped into the 1:50s. Previously, when chasing the Merc, I had done consistent 1:49s, and even some mid 1:48s.
The Merc got the lead down to 2 seconds with 2 laps to go!!!! Imagine having to do this race again if I were to lose. And the Merc would have the advantage at Le Mans for sure. The championship was on the line!!!! Then, I put a lap car between myself and the Merc and nailed a high 1:48. That put the lead out to 4.5 seconds with one lap to go. I got home by 5.395 seconds.
What a race!!!!
Fastest lap: 1.48.450
The Isuzu was brand new. I won it in the Isuzu event, like you said.
Yeah, well, this what I found when I looked up race reports for the 1000 Miles.👍
