1000 ticket

The Lvl 1000 ticket isn't that useful because it only gives you an ordinary car with a level of one-figure, you gotta win a ticket with a high level if you wanna get a good car in earnest.

I've gotten plenty of good cars with this ticket. All the way from a Bentley Speed 8 RC down to a Cosmo Sport and everything in between. The only thing that makes this ticket a pain in the ass is that every car thats in the game is available with this ticket so if you are looking for something in particular with this ticket, good luck. It still can produce good cars tho so saying that it only produces ordinary cars with a level of one is absolutely wrong. You just gotta be lucky, thats all.

I've had some serious good cars with my 1000 tickets, It was random pick form the full GT Garage I think, Citron Concepts, Nissan R89's, JGTC cars... but back then I could turn off the PS3 and I try the ticket out next time... Until it gave me the car I liked. (Now you have to mess about and reload a save from a memory stick which is a faff. Used to quite like the end a session of GT racing and see what the 1000 ticket would give me... if it was good, I kept if not, I turned off the PS3 before it saved the game.

I kept a log of every race since I start GT5, and it is 100 race events, this meant that repeating the nickel and dime early races could be worth it if you factor in earning a 1000 ticket and pruneing what you get to pick an expensive car. I had several Ferrari P4's go through...

Yet to try to do 2000km at one track but a LeMans 24 hour race must do that... so I guess everyone that has done a 24 hour enduro will have had a 1000 ticket presented to them after the race...

You get one for every 2000km or win 100 times.

This isn't true. I've won a Mazda Furai from my last one. You are eligible to win ANY car in the game from these tickets. With the exception of downloadables. The chances of you getting a very good car is slim since there are many more lower level cars than higher level.

Oh really? You can acquire any car present in the game with exception of downloadable ones?

Ironically I haven't had any of the cars with higher than Lv. 17 yet, as you guys say what you get through the card fairly depends on luck because there are a number of cars obtainable from the ticket, from the cars sold at the UCD to the LMPs/fictional racing cars such as the R35 GTR concept race car. If you could successfully have your most-wanted car delivered to your garage, then the luck is on your side. Thanks for the points out.
