I think not
Just got my tickets through for this event, looks like a good entry list with the Peugeots and the Audis making an appearance as well as the return of Nigel Mansell. Also, I see that Lucas Ordonez is driving in the LMP2's as well. Any fellow GTP'ers putting in an appearance next weekend?

Eurosport might have it. I remember them broadcasting the 8 hours of me castellet but I havent seen any of the season since:(. I wish they extended the calender to make it more like a proper championship. Also this race is the first round of something new happening but I'm not sure what.

Edit: the le mans intercontinental cup.

I think it's on Motors TV. You are right akmuq, it's the start of the Le Mans intercontinental cup which guarantees the winners entry into Le Mans proper I believe. Can't wait to go, the starting grid of 47 cars looks immense!!

Well, Hopefully I'll be there for the Sunday but, I just blew all my cash on Knockhill BTCC so it's not a dead cert.

Yea Gt1 looks AMAZING!!!!!!👎

It's also on Radio Le Mans for those who cannot make it to the track or are not able to watch the race on TV. And I hear they'll be covering not only Practice and Qualifying, but some of the support races as well. :)

And if someone is going to Silverstone for the race this weekend, say 'hello' to Alan Mc Nish and Lucas Ordonez from all of us at GTPlanet. :sly:

I'm gonna head down in the morning and pay at the gate. My friend dropped out but my lovely girlfriend has agreed to tag along. It's gonna be my first live motorsport event, which is crazy because its been one of my main hobbies for 15 years.

How does general admission work at Silverstone? I take it seats aren't allocated, but is it possible to move between grandstands?

I was there today, go my stuff signed by my fave drivers for the team I support Rebellion racing and met Fisi an Alesi aswell. Doesn't promise to be the best out of all the Autosport 1000kms I've been to as 2008 was epic but it looks set to be a very good race nontheless.

Classic Endurance Racers were awesome again, no Matra MS670 this year (:() but the awesome Ferrari 712 Can-Am was there aswell as a 935/78.

Can't wait to head back for the race tomorrow.

Yep, was a great day today, speed series races were a bit dull but the radical masters had some great racing and the classic endurance was a joy to watch. As for the LMS qualifying, man those audi's are quick! Watching McNish fly into the maggots and becketts complex barely touching the brakes was breathtaking. Hopefully tomorrow will provide a good close race between the peugeots and audi's with lots of action further down the field too.

So are we ready for Le Mans part 2? I.e. one race for the diesels and the other race for everyone else in the race :P

Anyone got a full entry list and maybe timing/scoring for this one? I've got RLM on right now, good to hear Hindy's voice again :)

And as I type...Timo Bernhard has spun on the warm-up lap I hear...

Maybe it'll be the Audi's who are riddled with problems this time..;)

Gutted I couldn't go this year and i'm not impressed with the TV coverage, but at least i've got RLM to keep me informed.(and amused:p)

Woah! I missed that! My RLM gave up on me earlier so I stopped listening, missed the Audi nosediving out! What happened to it? Accident? Mechanical problem?

Yeah, I dig RLM. Hindy is a great commentator, exactly what a commentator should be - not prone to gross hyperbole and sycophantic a$$-kissing, full of energy and wit, well spoken, and not afraid to drop the odd joke or call it how he sees it. Hows the Motors TV coverage going?

EDIT: I notice Larbre are running their Saleen S7, the one GT1 car left...sad state of affairs. Having also seen the new Aston Martin for next year's regulations, I'm suspecting this might be the last year for a while I pay attention to Le Mans/Sportscar racing, outside the FIA GT championships...:( Shame. For now, GO LARBRE! :D

It was definitely mechanical/electrical, but we haven't been told what the problem is yet.

I don't think it's on Motors TV, the only channel I know that's showing the race live in the UK is Eurosport, but their coverage has stopped now until later on.:(

Interesting, it's very rare to see an Audi have mechanical problems of any kind...might be a first I've ever seen! Haha! There's still an Audi hanging in there though...I'm tipping them to sneak in at the end on fuel mileage. No idea why, just have gut feeling...my heart is hoping all the top 3 mysteriously fail, and the #009 Aston Martin suddenly canters to victory, but I doubt that's likely ;)

I'm gutted about the Rebellions not having much looks but moreso about my fave GT2 Rob Bell who has won the Autosport 1000KM the pasty two years and was looking like winning again until a stop-go penalty (2nd race at Silverstone this year where Darren Turner has had win taken away thanks to a pen).

Managed to get all my stuff signed. Also had some more signatures in my F1 book. Alesi, Davidson and Fisi all signed it today (to add to Herbert, Mansell, Pescarolo, Boullion, Albers, David Brabham and Panis that I already have :)).

My Rebellion hat (also have a team shirt which I didn't take pictures of)

My Dad got his Force India hat signed by Fisi aswell.

Did you see how Fernando in the Larbre Saleen did? I'm not in the country at the minute.

He won GT1.

There was only one car entered for GT1. It finished 3rd last as Labre's reliability was just like normal. Bad.

It's a shame for BMW Team Schnitzer. Jorg Muller spun his car around mid-way into the race. If not a race victory could've been theirs if also not another problem, a penalty for not respecting the track limit...

Fair play, he's usually the quickest in the team (even with Kubica as a team mate in lower formula) so I look forward to what he does next year, I'll have to find out.

The Rebellions are now sponsored by Playstation aswell.
