1080i Not Working

I have a Toshiba 40" HDTV, with PS2 component cables, I'm trying to get 1080i to work, but when I select it in the options it changes to 1080i, but when I press OK after the change, it reverts back to 480i.

Any ideas?

Did you set up your PS2 propberly? You must have if you get a pic using the component cables. Is your component input high-def, or standard-def? Are you answering the question properly? Are you changing back to 1080i everytime you start up GT4? You have to, BTW. It wont save it on 1080i permanently. You know the menu and map pages are 480i only, but the racing is 1080i, right?
