can't buy the dlc till next week:sick: but I have a question to those that have it. is the transmission adjustable in the 125 kart?

Yes it is :) But the 125 is not so much faster than the 100 PDI racing kart :) They are pretty equal :)

Thats because it's heavier, that has a big effect on a kart. But it has a electric speed screen!

The 100 PDI has 33hp, the new 125 has 28hp, the new 100 has 23hp.

I smell a ninja nerf for the 100cc PDI kart.

I'm confused. The old PDI has 23 hp..is there a new one with 33 hp? So if the new 100 has 33 hp, that's 11 more than the old one so it should be spectacularly fast. I thought the 125 was based on the Rotax kart motor, which I'm pretty sure is 33 hp in real life. With a tunable transmission I should think the 125 would be better at the top end but maybe about the same on the new Kart Space.

A 5 or 6 speed gearbox would sure help things along in any of the karts...lol.

It said 33hp for the PDI kart(which i haven't used since 1.10) seems they nerfed it.

It's the other way around. The 100cc kart had 33hp prior to Spec II. Now it has 21hp. Your already owned 100cc karts should still be reading 33hp, but next time you take them to the track, they'll "convert" to 21hp (or higher, if they were used enough, like 23-24hp). Max speed is the same, acceleration too, despite new power specifications, and I can say that 'cause I recently beat my old record from around 38.0s (which was set before Spec II's release) at Autumn Ring mini to 37.669 with the lower HP reading on the kart's info, post-Spec II. I don't know about the headlights, but that would be the only difference between 100cc karts already in-game since the beginning and the ones from DLC. Could also happen that the already owned 100cc karts get the headlight upgrade once you buy the DLC.

yeah the original was cut back in power.....was just racing against a 125 with my pdi 100 and the 125 was geared for high end and was never coming into it's power band on kart I and kart II.

I was just curious thanks for the comments guys

Kart space is awesome!

agreed.....didn't care much for karting in gt5 till those tracks hit.👍 love how you can feel the paint on the tracks and how it makes the tires slide. karting with a g27 wheel is near real minus seat-to-ribcage bruising

I'm 90% sure that the engine of the 125 is indeed based off of the Rotax MAX aka "senior" engine.
The senior engine has 28.5 horsepower and the 125 has 28.
I'll post comparison pics because the two engines look almost identical.
