IMG_1384.jpg

  • You MUST drive through this turn as part of your lap. All standard OLR Rules Apply, NO CORNER CUTTING. Keep at least 2 wheels on or vertically in line with the track at all times.
  • The green painted concrete next of the rumbles is not part of the track
  • G25 Clutch is prohibited
  • Use your GTP_Tag

Steward's Comments:
After taking you to task in the Tuned Elise last week, it's time to give you some grip back. This is wide open in regard to tuning, but I think you'll find it to be an easy drive with 750PP and stock suspension settings.

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.
To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 66 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Excellent

The use of the motorcycle chicane is a masterstroke 👍

All the best

Great stuff 👍

Kevin, you might want to edit some copy/paste mishap :D:

EDIT guys, please remember this is an online TT event. I don't think we've ever visited this section of Prologue before. Just browse down the online events, go past the expert events until you come to the TT's.

Oh and welcome back Jerry

Time to get back into GT and this event is just what I've been waiting for. 👍

enough said! :)👍 Man, I have to make time for this one somehow... can't I have a 36h day? :dopey:

I'll toss up the first horrible splits, trying out an interesting setup for this one because I'm not a fan of the linked one (understeers like a.....steer?).

53.316
1'40.358

I full expect this to be destroyed on the leaderboard. :dopey:

I'm not really into 4x4 cars but with this extra chicane it really makes it interesting.

Nice you tought of that. 👍

Hope i can find some time to participate this week, i didn't had any time to participate in week 65 :grumpy:

Nice work Kevin. Putting the 'motorcycle' chicane in is throwing me a super curveball.
Splits from my fastest lap so far, using a hybrid of tunes from the tuning section, and some of my own adjustments.

51.744
1'38.322

Did a 20min drive. Haven't played GT5P in a long while, and comming back straight after the demo is feeling really weird for me. But I am happy to be able to join back into the action again 👍

T1: 53.404
T2: 1'41.063

From one extreme to the other. I like it:tup:

First splits after about 30 minutes of driving,

54.049
1'41.814

I think this is the first time I've ever gone through the motorcycle chicane in a car. I'm enjoying it:tup:

Edit: I typed 1'14, not 1'41

That motorcycle chicane is a real tricky one.. I ran straight into the wall before it... lol

Hopefully I can participate this week. Looks like fun.

Hmmm, Animera (don't know your name) you make me feel quite upset now. I thought my splits were good. So now I know I got a lot of work to do. Maybe my setup is not great but I know I have to work on it.

53.059
1'40.060

Slight improvement after another 30 minutes or so.

53.695
1'41.462

I ran half a dozen laps this morning, just to get a starting point.
First splits:

52.235
1'39.817

Lots to come off that 👍

Still struggling with Eiger Reverse , not giving up, but believing WRS 65 will show how much I still have to learn 👎.

Looking here at week 66 and:
* Suzuka? Never really mastered this till now. :scared:
* With a motorcycle turn. :ouch: Did not even see this one before, generally too busy not to go wide at that spot.

Hope I'll improve through struggling in WRS, sure find this stuff challenging.

Interesting, in the lead-up to GT5 it will be interesting to see what drivers adjust to new tracks the fastest, even if this is only 1 corner we've never done before.
If I don't have an exact tune for this event already I'll have one soon-ish. Got a lot of the day on Wednesday off, in the morning I'm getting a sports exhaust and bigger throttle body fitted to my Ute.:) That night SHOULD be basketball, but in the arvo I may have time.

Edit: Scratch that, no basketball Wednesday for me, either we have a first round bye or our team wasn't added to the list despite being nominated for competition.:odd:

I think Animera adjusted the fastest. If you look at the leaderboard. I wil be the slowest

@ Pauli and a bit off-topic: nice UTE there, I like it. And I bet you're looking forward to your optimitzations a lot!? I'm hoping to fire up my project soon, maybe even next WE :) (then I have to come up with new excuses for WRS though, hmmm) Looked at your setup, too. LOL when I saw that rag lying on the floor next to it, I bet thats for drying wheel and hands? Got one lying left of my seat as well :sly:

New splits,

52.970
1'39.684

Bit of a rotten T1, but negotiated the hairpin and chicane nearly .5 quicker than my previous fastest lap 👍
