well, this actually isn't tuning related, but.. still, it's a cool IRL vid of 787B! gotta love that cars unique sound.. and listen that idle burbling.. :eek: :scared: not to mention the scream when it's running on full throttle.. :drool: PD, you have lot to improve in this thing..

All the videos on that site work. I dont have a chance to view the 14 minute one yet but the sound clip of the 787 at idle is sick! Someone in here had several of those in their signature.

?? What about the RE-Amemiya RX-7?! Thats been dominating the GT300 class? Although, this year they were supposed to be in the GT500 class with all that fancy new bodywork. Then mazda dropped out at the last minute to fund them, and they switched back to the GT300 class. Or how about the rotary powered LMP2 car? That finished 2nd place(I think) in its debut at the atlanta race?
 
There aren't many racing specific cars coming from Mazda, though. The 787, for example, was really meant for racing. I think that's what Mazda really needs...
 
Also, they are doing very well in the Speed World Challenge. They've been very competitive with the old Protege, and now with the new Mazda6. Not quite up to the level of the BMWs or the Realtime guys in the TSXs, but doing very well. They won a race earlier this year in the SWC-Touring class.

And, they are also racing the RX8 in the Grand Am Cup. So, Mazda does have a rotary in competition. They aren't REAL competitive with it in Grand Am, the Zs and new Stangs are kind of cleaning house, but its a good car.

And also, don't forget they have an entire Mazda open-wheel race series. The "Star Mazda" series. Open-wheel cars, much like smaller scale F1 cars, powered by the rotary engines. Very nice series for people to get started in open-wheel racing when making the move up.

I didn't know some of those cars existed, or that some of them were backed by Mazda. It would be really cool to see the RX-7 step up to GT500. Maybe for 2006 (:
