Hints at:

Level system (The person is at level 500?!)
Autovista in-depth look
World Tour mode in-depth look
Overall race experience
More car-specific challenges, for example: If you like a certain car, you can play through the entire career mode in that car (dunno what he means by that as that's probably impossible)
Rival Events

Choosable Level Up gift cars
:D
Profile Import system in-depth look
Resonably Priced Car challenge from top gear
The return of "Car Clubs"
How weather affects the driving
A lecture on the new lighting system
Changable drivers position! :D
A more, identified Motion blur system

And, as always, some new cars:
BMW M6
BMW M3
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Honda Fit
Chevrolet Cobalt SS
Ferrari Testarossa
Mercedes C 63 AMG?

Pretty good video IMO!

Here's my own description of how the profile import system works with quotes from the video:
The way the profile import system works is that, "we cant directly import your cars from Forza Motorsport 3, mainly because of the fact that things like shaders, details, textures, and cockpits have changed", so, instead of a "direct import", it will have a feature where "your cars from Forza Motorsport 3 are offered to you as a gift car, so you have the option of wether or not you want that car". You can get any car that you had in Forza Motorsport 3, ranging from "458's to the Veyron".

Hmm, I see this was posted in another thread. But still. Its a nice video.

Which yellow car? Where in the video, time-wise?

Does that confirm the Jay Leno tank car?

The line about only 1 existing and it's in his garage?

p.s That yellow car looks like a ferrari 512.

Dan is a good troll. "All our cars are premium, with cockpits, etc." Hehe, nice one.
Love the changes from E3, the menu is fantastic, Top Gear Homespace is incredible, JC's comments are good as hell.
Hail To The King, baby.

I hope you can mute that baboons voice.
Clarkson's? Well, just don't hit the button that activates the commentary... That's what has been done to initiate it, from what I've seen so far.

Anyways, something I picked up during the video was the announcement that Hockenheim was playable at two different times of day. So I guess it'll be the same for most tracks... Dunno, night racing seems a bit unlikely now.

Great video, and I did learn quite a bit. It's nice to have this info stretched. If they told us everything NOW, the next couple months would be quite boring while we wait. I like the anticipation of new news.

Agreed. That's why I'm contemplating banning myself from visiting the forums. I want surprises when I pop in the disc!

This guy seems to have the vision as Kaz, but this guy does do what he talks about! Kaz talks all these cool features and that takes ages for his team to do

I think they actually have fairly different visions. Whereas Kazunori wants to create and automotive encyclopedia, Greenawalt seems to be out to create a game that gets as many people to enjoy cars as possible.

The big difference, in my opinion, is that, for Greenawalt, people are actually a pretty big factor. I don't get that vibe from Kazunori.

Not to rain on your parade, but you will have to rebuild your garage. You'll get a bonus based on your existing garage, and that's it - no direct import.

Dan even said that direct importing was out of the picture, because the game is so different.

I'm in two minds whether to not import my profile at all.. I like starting from scratch and earning the cars the hard way..

I didn't import my GT PSP garage into GT5 either for the same reason!

If you listened very carefully :

we cant directly import your cars from Forza Motorsport 3, mainly because of the fact that things like shaders, details, textures, and cockpits have changed", so, instead of a "direct import", it will have a feature where "your cars from Forza Motorsport 3 are offered to you as a gift car when you level up or when you start a new game.

Yes, I did hear this, I didn't mean literally import my profile cars and all, but it will still possibly taint the experience if it rewards me prematurely with good cars..

Not rebuilding from scratch if I get a bonus ;)

wHOA WHOA WHOA! "How weather effects the driving" Whoa!???!!!! I must watch this video beause this has been one of my #1 requests for Forza 4. If it truly has some sort of weather I will have almost every single thing I have asked for in the Forza series all in 1 game. :dopey:

A lot of his vision comes from community feedback. T10 has always done a great job supporting the community requests. T10 have ALWAYS supported the community.

Still I think Current gen consoles limit the possibilities for full FM, and GT experiences.

Can anybody tell me, where he is talking about the weather? I didnt hear it a single time. :/

He said: "On extreme conditions like these, where the snow is bright on one side and the rocks are dark..." and "You can be blinded by the late afternoon sun on a track with different times of the day to race on"...

Never talked about "the weather" as is.

BTW, another cool thing about this video is that you can do 12 car grid races offline, much better than 8 as in FM3.

GT is only limited by Kazunori Yamauchi himself for not being able to do things in a logical way, or better yet, just do things under reasonable amounts of time, or with a rational order of importance...

Okay, first of all, this isn't the GT vs. Forza thread, and secondly, you've never built a complex racing game like GT5 or Forza, so, you can't really say anything about the processes in which the games are built. It drives me nuts when people say "PD sucks at managing their time. I could have made a better game than they did in that amount of time." Really? How about you round up $80millions, six years and about 250 guys and PS3 dev gets and see what you get with fans and Sony barking in your ear.

You know what I'd do? I'd outsource a lot of the rendering of the cars, so I can get more cars done instead of 200 ;)

I believe Forza outsources their car models and they are looking good for FM4

"You've never built a complex racing game"... You just did my day!

Ok, your complex psychic attributes and your complex logics about who can criticize are beyond driving me nuts.

BTW, I love GT too Mr., just expressing here... and I replied to a guy that thought that this thread was the "technical limitations of current consoles" one.

 "complex"...
