1886 Daimler Motor Carriage Nurburgring Record Time!

Yesterday, I took the old Daimler out for a spin and I remember reading about someone completing a lap on the Nordschleife in 2 days. I was crazy enough to complete a lap with it and beat their record. And I have! My lap time was 4 hours, 35 minutes, and 24 seconds.

How did you get the Motor Carriage up the hill? I thought you couldn't get to the starting line because the car is too slow.

You have to drive sideways back and forth across the track, going uphill just a tiny bit each time. That's why it takes so long.
