At the end of the 1969 Trans-Am season, Walter Hayes of Ford Advanced Vehicles brought the ex-Kar Kraft/Bud Moore Mustang over to UK for Frank Gardner. Frank and his crew then updated the car to Group 2 specifications, for the 1970 British Saloon Car Championship season.

It raced as number 104 and 165 with the red/black/white Bud Moore colours. The big Mustang won 8 out of 11 rounds of the BSCC in class D, and almost brought Frank his 3rd saloon car championship. Tyre problems during the...
