search for almost 5 hours and found nothing. where can i get (NOT IN ARCADE) 1983 mitsubishi lancer 1800 gsr?
(i'm playing PAL region)

GT its great that you helped out gery, but was that last part where you tell him that you didn't try hard enough really needed? Also if you're going to take the time to belittle someone, make sure you proof read your post, it makes you look a little silly when you reprimand someone with a sentence that doesn't make any sense. I think that 5 hrs of searching is long enough to post a simple question. That is an obscure car that probably wouldn't come up in a search. If gery didn't know to look at the used car list in the FAQ's he probably would have searched forever.

Well i dont see how GT was belittleing gery. Gt was pointing out the facts and pointed gery in the right direction problem sorted. I think it is you who needs to stop trying to belittle GT for he has only been helpful. As for 5 hours of searching i seriously doubt it, gery was probably just exagerating a little.

If you dont like what i said then give me negative feedback or send me a PM as this thread is not the place to start a childish rant.

Spec....

I didn't make sense? I said that he should have checked the Game Guides, he would have found it was in the 80s Used Car Lot and then will be able to find where the car appears in the PAL Used Car Cycle list. I don't think I can make it much simpler than that...

And about the last bit, I was saying it in a friendly way, and I doubt he took that long anyway. If he did, you would have went through the stickied threads first like you would do, or if he searched for "mitsubishi lancer 1800 gsr", you would have found this thread where he could have posted this question in instead.

Is the problem solved yet?

I guess so... notice that the year of the car should give you a clue where to find it...

You'll find that the car is found in the Used 80s Car Lot.

Just to add to that, the contents of the 'Used 80's Car Lot' are on a rotation cycle, meaning that the car you are after is not always available, so you need to read the Used Car Cycle List (that G.T links to in his initial reply) to see what weeks that car is in the garage, available for purchase... the car in question, for example, is only in the used car lot on weeks 36,38,47,49,52,64.... to name but a few...

I agree gery most likely did not search for 5 hours, and I really am not trying to go on a "childish rant". I just don't understand why at the end of every reply to a question there has to be an I told you so attitude. I admit GTs post was not really that scathing at all, but it still would have pissed me off a little if I had posted the original question. With that said is there any way to get a thread/ forum explicitly for questions that have most likely already been answered for noobs. That way people that don't want to help anyone with the "what car should I use" or "where do I find this car" don't have to even see them or be bothered by them. I suspect this won't happen, because people would abuse it and stop searching for themselves. Anyways that is what I suggest. Sorry if it sounds like a rant, I really didn't mean to call out anyone in particular. I really do appreciate this site and all of the mostly helpfull members. Thanks

That's precisely why it's not such a great idea. The search function and stickied FAQ's are there to fill this very need.

edit: and, forgive me for being the pessimist, but just from observng the drift forum, when you create threads to help out new members with settings, advice, a place to put photomode shots, etc, it is overlooked by a large number of them. All they're looking for is the New Thread button.

It's a catch-22 really, since only non-newcomers tend to pay attention to or use the existing facilities, like the 'GT4 General Discussion' and 'Look Here Before Your Ask - Many FAQ's' stickies in the GT4 forum.

I see what your saying about the 'advice' component of G.T's original reply, but many people probably would have put it even more bluntly than that... atleast he comprehensively answered the question first...👍

Searching for 5 hours when it's in the 4th stickie?.. hmmm.. OK.

I just think more people need to ask simple questions in the GT4 General Discussion thread. Maybe a ban on new thread's should be in order. Or, a limit of new discussions created per month?

Anything to stop new thread's from turning up that don't need to be..

guys, i really searched for almost 5 hours, i don't care either you trust me or not, and i have searched again at the place you all suggested me. thanks for your warm welcome words to a newbie
