Does anyone here got any experience with them? I'm looking at getting rid of my Mazda MX-3 and getting one, but would like to know if theres anything I should look out for....
The car I'm looking at has a 2.0 litre turbo engine with around 100000kms on it, with a 3 inch exhaust, blow-off valve etc.

Do you reckon I should go for it?

Get it checked thoroughly. They're a great car, but being the performance car of the range they tend to get thrashed, and the fact that this one has mods is a real danger sign that this is the case.

Check the CV joints (you'll hear a clicking sound when turning if they're playing up), suspension (listen for knocking sounds) and also the gearbox - the AWD and the grunt can work the 'box over pretty severely.

The motor's meant to be pretty strong if it's looked after, but see comments above if it's been thrashed.

Is it genuine NZ Delivery or a Japanese 2nd hand import?

I believe it's a Japanese import.
The mods however, were done here. In fact, the car is still in the workshop getting a once over...

And I was just wondering if there is a difference between the GT and the RS. I know later models were designated RS and RSK-B4, but this is the first of the old-boxy-shape legacy I've seen with the RS monicker....

Thanks 4 the info, I will get it checked out pretty thoroughly before I buy it though...
