My moms truck has been sitting in our driveway for a few months. At first it stopped working because it needed a new fuel pump. We got that fixed but it won't run. You can turn the key but it will not start, it gets so close to starting but fails to.

I was thinking it's the fuel injectors but I wanted to know what guts may think is the problem.

First off, when you say it doesn't start. Does it crank/turn over or does it click?

If it's been sitting a long time, the battery may be in need of a charge.

It cranks, the battery was charged when we attempted it.

Do you have spark? Pull a plug (leave it hooked to the wire) and crank it. You should be able to see it on the end of the plug.

It had spark, it actually started but couldn't keep running. Could it be a circuit open relay, air flow meter or fuel injectors?

Might be as simple as it trying to feed fuel through lines that went empty when you changed the pump.

To go even simpler than this! Is there fuel in the tank? You wouldn't be the first to miss that crucial part of starting and running a car. :D
