Yours isn't that bad.

I'd say you just have to work on your selecting, and try using gradients once in a while. They really give a photo-realistic look to the picture when used right.

I just took a nice NSX picture with not many reflections, and cropped it down a little. Gradients were uised for the headlight and CF hood. Everything else is straight color-filling.

Using the line tool isn't how you do it.

It's call Vectors, do a search on it.

i keep hearing this talk about selecting this and that. what are you guys doing? i have a way of doing it (might not be correct) but it gets the job done.

basically what im saying is that when i do the whole cell shading theme. i never have to use and lasso or line tool.

lookin at that tutorial, that way doesnt seem so great with the end result. i mean, cell shading is intentionally more cartoony so why try to make it photorealistic and use gradients etc?

hah, im bored and just rambling now.
