2.07 update

hey all
ive got major issues with gt5 at the moment as I cant update to the latest version of gt5 - prob is that ive had to purchase a new copy of the game which was a US version before and now is a EU version and when getting updates to version 2.07 then I get a error 8002ae22.

ive deleted the data utility of the game and kept my saved one but still no luck.
any help plz would be great as I love this game and I really don't wanna restart.
no reply from sony themselves over this issue either
 
I don't think a US version savegame is compatible with the EU version. Your best guess would be to backup your savegame to a USB-device and start all over.
 
I have to agree,while the PS3 isn't region locked the game saves probably will be.
 
Keep in mind that a US version of the DLC is not compatible with the EU version of the game. You will have to buy it again. :(
 
hey all - ive got a new copy (EU version) and backed up saved game and dumped the old one and restarted updating from scratch - just cannot get past version 1.06 on the update after numerous attempts and using a mates internet and even going as far as a proxy server
