2 Issues, wondering if anyone else gets the same

I don't know if anyone else is having these problems;

First, I tried to run the Real Circuit Tours and Super GT Seasonals and no matter what car I try I get excessive wheelspin under power. The car is fishtailing all over the track like it's on ice. It even kicks sideways when I turn TC all the way up. I use a DS3 and have never experienced this problem before. Only since the update.

I thought it was an issue with a particular car (Super GT Diablo) I was driving on my Son's account to get him some money. I let him borrow my ARTA NSX and my Diablo which had the same problem. I also let him borrow my Minolta Toyota and my Mercedes Sauber C9 for real circuit tours and they fishtailed too.

This is when I found the second issue; when you loan a car it does not retain your setup.

I went back in and set the borrowed cars up the exact same way on his profile as I had them in mine and I have lost 5 seconds/lap around Suzuka with the Sauber because of the fishtailing. Does the same thing on my profile with the same car, the one that has always worked.

It's not that the AI has gotten better, my cars have gotten worse.

Honestly like the X1, most of the LMP cars require a wheel to help hold control on technical courses. I know exactly what you mean, I just worked my tail off with my Minolta on Suzuki to win. It took a while. The Sauber Mercedes and the Nissan keep out a ways in front... Unfortunately everyone using a DS3 is limited on what they can do if you use the buttons.

Try using the right analog stick to accelerate and brake. The Minolta you NEVER want to hit the gas all the way, it will slide like its on ice with a stock tune.

Another idea would be to look up tunes for each car you wish to use in the tuning forum on this site and maybe they may have a tune to control the car a bit more

I've been driving this car one way since I got the game last year. I had times on Monza where it just started fishtailing right around where you pass under the old oval part of the track, not out of a corner at all. I've run probably close to 1000 laps on Monza and never once had the car spontaneously fishtail until the update. So, I guess the guy above simply believes I've just suddenly forgotten how to drive. I'm not mashing the accelerator through turns, you putz. It started fishtailing on straightaways.

And I found a good tune for the Minolta a long time ago, and it worked perfect up until this week, even with my controller.

So, I guess I've played the game one way for a full year and on a whim PD changed it so everything I did to get used to the game is completely useless now. I worked meticulously on learning the physics (well, their view of the physics anyway), spent hours tweaking tunes to shave off hundredths of a second and pored over tracks to hit marks and they've negated all of it with a few code changes...

Great.

Sorry mate, I thing you've suddenly forgotten how to drive...:sly:

You are not alone in what your saying. I too, and many of my friends, have had the same thing happen. It is not because of the update as this has been a problem for over 6 months. For some reason the tyres just have no grip and like you said it is like driving on ice.
It does go away, well it has gone and come back to many of us, so don't worry to much.
It's not your driving at all and those sort of remarks a pointless, as we are all trying to help each other to make gt5 better.

Thanks, I feel somewhat better that it might not the be the update. Can you give me some idea of how long before it goes away?

I actually had a problem with serious understeer in the new Scirocco on the London track, but have been assuming it was just a characteristic of the car itself.

Sorry mate, I thing you've suddenly forgotten how to drive...

But I am still very adept at complaining.
