A loghitech g27 for 350$ or a Fanatec Gt2 for 330$+ standard pedals 65$ + shippment cost to Europe? (I made the conversion from € to dollars, so it doesnt match exactly far) Taking into account the price, not a very imortant problem, but always important.
If you get the Fanatec, you need the ClubSport pedals. The standard pedals are pure garbage in comparison. The G27 at least has decent (not the greatest when compared to some of the aftermarket pedals) but usable.
That´s the option... i cant afford a 500$ wheel which are translated in more wth the conversion €->$ (660$) I´ve heard that g27 is not very well supported by GT5...(maybe that doesnt matter too much)

In and of themselves they are not garbage, but in comparison to the G25/G27 pedals or the ClubSport pedals, they are not comparable. I don't personally own a Fanatec, but have used both sets of Fanatec pedals with multiple titles (iRacing, GTR2, rFactor, GT4, GT5) and the standard pedals are comparable to those found with the DFP/DFGT. If upgrading from a controller to a wheel, the standard pedals would still be a significant upgrade.

FWIW the G27 works fine with GT5 if you use a controller for the extra options. Not really a big deal (does anyone really use the horn in-game?), but still inconvenient. Hopefully they fix this issue in the future. (G27 compatibility further discussed here).
I tried G25 pedals, ClubSport pedals and i own Fanatec standard pedal. Without any mods, standard pedal is not comparable. But with mods, it is very manageable but no where near Clubsport. From expeirnce, Clubsport pedals >>> modded g25 pedal = modded standard pedal
I have the standard pedals and I like them a lot when they work.
The problem is from day one they have been an issue. The throttle was acting up not going to 100% the brakes also not giving 100% and sometimes coming on by themselves for no apparent reason.
Turns out the little pots were loose inside and were moving around. I fixed them and everything was fine for a week or so then the problem started again. I took them apart one more time and this time made very sure to get them if properly and the pedals worked perfectly for a few days then yesterday they just died on me. One race they were perfect the next race they did nothing at all.
My Wheel and pedals are less than 2 months old and at the moment unuseable.
I will not go so far as to say they are garbage but they are not assembled very well and if you get these there is a very good chance that you will have to either repair them yourself or send them back. So far I have yet to talk to anyone who has the standard pedals and has not had an issue with these pots being loose.
The Fanatec PWTS is way nicer than the DFGT but I am sure glad I have a DFGT as well otherwise I would be reduced to using a controller for racing. Say what you may about the DFGT it works and works well.
This says it all. Mine worked for about 8 months before I had an issue. Love the wheel though - don't regret the purchase, just wish I had the extra $$ for the Clubsports. Plus - if you have an Xbox this is the only wheel that will work on both platforms!
I would slightly reconsider. Though not really 100%, but I think you need to clutch it when rallying or using gutless cars, around corners for instance.
My only gripe w/G27 Shifter is 1st to 2nd gear shifting is problematic. Maybe that's just me, but who knows. Looking back I would probably do the fanatec, like they said it's upgradeable, just more coin.

This is not even close to the truth. I have the Fanatec standard pedals and I have the DFGT there is no comparrison between the two.
The DFGT has 2 pedals brake and throttle both are soft and lifeless requiring no effort to press and you must be careful not to rest your foot on the brake or else you will be applying brake.
The Fanatec standard pedals feel much more like those in a real car. The clutch is stiff at the top and soft at the bottom. The brake has a very strong spring and requires a good deal of pressure to get 100% braking. It is much easier to gently brake into a corner with confidence than with the DFGT pedals. The throttle is smooth and feels like a car.
In general the DFGT pedals seems like junk compared to the Fanatec standards but there is the issue with the Fanatecs where the pots may not be secured properly and rise up to cause an issue.
Obviously if the pedals are going to be problematic (very probably), i cant buy them.
I sold my 360 time ago so that´s not an incentive, but I like the g27 more than the gt3 and is less expensive. One of these is going to be my first wheel and I think that 500€ (here in Europe make the conversion...664$ is too much... Any incoming opinions are well received and valued
