2 player B-spec racing

Is it possible to use the B-spec driver in a 2 player mode?

Page 13 of the manual has the following listed under 2P BATTLE:

B-SPEC
If the race takes place in B-spec mode, players take turns in giving commands to their driver. Each player is given a certain amount of time to give commands to their driver. Make sure to give commands within your time limits.​

Is that an error in the manual? A planned feature that got dropped from the final version?

I think that they took it out since I can't find it anywhere, even after looking for an hour.

Weird...I just went n checked, and thats in my book too, but after all the hours of 2 player i've done, i've never seen that option in the game at all.

It's in the same place as the B-Spec mode that lets you increase the speed to 5x.

In other words - they probably took it out.

Maybe the manual is just translated from a first edition of the game and they make some late changes but didn't change the manual.
