hey everybody, i been trying to make a video with me and a friend synchronize drifting each other, but the stupid 2 player mode won't let me use my settings and his settings, is there anyway i can change them or am i gonna have get used to the strange default drift settings?

I tought it only let you choose transmission type unless you push triangle afterwards to change settings.I could swear it lets you use your settings if you choose a car from your garage.Huh.

2 player mode lets u use ur settings, because i was just drifting with my friend the other day

you can use your own settings...

and you can choose from Racing or Drifting in 2 player mode as well (makes no significant changes if you ask me)... the trick is let one of the players select a car and choose a transmission. after that it should appear that he/she is done selecting their car... just press triangle or square and it should bring up the "racing" or "drifting" style of driving.

this does nothing it's just a bug. When using an arcade class car you get the option of drift or racing, this only changes the tires. With a grage car you get the settings the way the car is set up in sim mode.

Correct......

If your car is set up well, has the correct tires, and is well balanced, changing between drift/grip mode (in arcade) will only screw up that balance by changing the tire to a less ideal compound.....

Furthermore, to me, Arcade 2 Player mode, is horrible for twin drifting, because of the inferior physics.... I would rather use an I-Link, and 2 PS2's...... I can use my PC monitor for one TV, and use my 32' for the other one.... Hmmm.... this is giving me ideas.....

;)

But you can't use your garage in I-Link. You have to use the stock arcade mode cars on "drift" mode. But...unless you turn off tcs/asm in the options menu, they're still on, even when it's supposed to be drift-set.

Oh yeah, that's right.... I almost forgot about that...... Well, scratch that idea......

I'll just have to wait for GT4 to get my twin drift on....

thats pretty crap, not being able to use garage cars with the i-link cable, that kinds of defeats the perpose of having 2-player battles. I do it to see has the better set up car.
