2-player TCS

When I go into two-player, I notice that I can only choose to have TCS and ASM if I pick player 2's car first. Is this just something that can be changed in the options, or was it just a mistake?

for me you can pick tcs and asm only on non-garage cars. however if you pick a car from the manufacterer then go back and change to a garage car, the garage car can also have tcs and asm.

Hmm not sure about that one. There is a bug that doesn't allow you to choose driving aids if you pick a car from your garage, and the secondary (really annoying) bug is that once you've chosen a car from your garage, changing it (or having player 2 select an arcade car) doesn't reactivate the dropdown list. You have to return to (I think) the main menu, or actually enter the options screen and turn it on again.

Your problem sounds like the opposite. Are you choosing arcade cars (as in stock cars available in 2P mode) or garage cars?

Isn't it an option under the 2 Player icon in the main menu?
Also, if you pick a garage car, doesn't it read the settings of TCS and ASM from your garage car settings? Possibly why it doesn't allow you to pick them.

This only happens if I pick garage cars. If I pick a garage car from two-player first, I get a menu showing weather I want TCS and ASM or not. If I choose to have them, then both player one and two get it. When I pick one-player's car, I don't get the menu. If I pick player-one's car first, neither person gets the menu.

And if you choose TCS ON for garage cars, does it use the GT Mode TCS settings for that car, or does it turn it on 100%?

I am not sure about that, I will check on it when I have time, which will probably be on the weekend.

Everything just got weirder. I can't get ASM and TCS for garage cars anymore. I can also get it so you can't get TCS and ASM for normal cars. Here's how: I went into 2 player and picked either player's car pick and then chose to pick a garage car. If i picked any of the cars, then I couldn't TCS and ASM on them. When I went to pick normal cars, I couldn't put TCS and ASM on those either. If I went into 1 player, I still couldn't pick TCS and ASM! I could only fix this by making the game load something, like by going into options or GT Mode.

I was just about to post something like this. The bug is extremley annoying.
