So I had a broken PS3, and a Logitech DFP (was replaced with a G27).
I decided to fix my broken PS3 and order a 2nd copy of GT5 so I could play with someone else at my place. I got the replacement blu-ray lens in, installed it and the PS3 was working beautifully again.
Fired up GT5 on both PS3s and I am unable to connect to the same lobby with both of them originating from the same IP. I did have a wireless (cell phone) hotspot available, and connected one PS3 through that, and then it worked correctly, but I could not get both PS3s in the same lobby when they were on the same originating IP.
Is there a way to get this to work? Or is there a way to get LAN play out of GT5?
