I thought this was the rule in racing. During license tests and other parts of campaign mode I have noticed during replays sometimes the car going with all 4 tires over the curbstones. Which seemed to give better racing times. Which is best, 2 or 4 tires going over the curbstones? This is at the apex of the turns of course.

Depends on the corner. Some may be best with 2 some with 4. As for it being a rule - just watch F1!!

Take as much kerb as possible in most corners as long as you don’t destabilize the car. You need to maximize corner exit speeds. Sometimes you better get in deep in the corner and accelerate early. Try different lines and look at the live delta times to see if its blue or red.

Edit: With race cars ;)

Curbriding is a good way of learning courses, and it can help with braking points in some courses, but be careful if you hit some curbs on a low and light car, you better be good at kite surfing to recover. I was in an Alfa 4c n200 yesterday at Dragon trail, and I hit the curb on the fast esses, and it started lifting on the right side.

Not to sound sarcastic but there is a question about which 2 wheels you’re putting on the curb...

The curbs in GTS at least seem to be considered part of the track and the usual rule is that you need at least 2 wheels on the track at all times.

So what I’m getting at, is there are some corners where the car is entirely off the asphalt, and the 2 wheels staying on the track are just the 2 on the curbing.

The easiest example is Kiwami - the last chicane before the start/finish straight can be straightened if you put the car entirely on the grass with just the wheels on the curbing keeping you “legal”. The trajectory leaves the 2 right wheels crossing the chicane entry curb and the 2 left wheels crossing the chicane exit curb - the car is almost entirely on the grass at these moments.
