I did all my glitching last night and this morning I got the same message. If you can't connect to the server, then you probably can't redownload 1.01 right now. Probably their way of stopping it for now.

I was initially against this but after reading through this thread and realising how PD has screwed us over, I'm actually considering doing this. My question is if I make an entire backup of my ps hdd to my external hd and then delete the gt6 game data utilty and do the glitch, would I be able to restore the 1.01 update from my external hd? I'm unable to download large volumes of data due to a capped internet connection.

Well... taking into account that the only thing that the PS3 does is creating an Image of the HDD, it could be possible....

Not a bad idea but it´ll take time....

But backup your savegame to the cloud, or to a pendrive before.

You can be right, but I disagree. "We" (even as I´m still downloading the game) are the minority. We are not the target of the broken and stupid GT6 economy system. If they stop the patching of the game, the thousands that bought the game just to drive a little and do want their VGT and M4 won´t have it .... and that to stop maybe 4 o 5 thousand people? I don´t think so.

But still you can be totally right... I just hope you´re not ;)
 
I paid £7.99 for a million credits just so I could earn 300 million. Just sayin

Haha, the rare players who buyed credits should now feel some strong injustice; very bad move by PD especially because this trick is so easy (and so tempting..)

the servers being down i dont think is anything to worry about. anywys i have the psn version and am currently 88% installed and as soon as it finishes i will report my findings here.
 
just got notification in gt5 that maintenance of servers is going on be careful
 
Considering the huge losses from a business perspective, I'd say its likely they won't let this stand.

Its rather easy to roll everything back which has been unruly purchased. Not exactly what people want, but nor does PD want to lose its ways in microtransactions.

Can you imagine the outcry if they did that? Can't see them doing that in honesty. PD will just kill the glitch off and suck up their losses.

They can't afford to anger the "community" that much.

Now, if they do kill the £20 million glitch off, who do I complain to that I didn't cash in?:D
 
ok it defiantly still works psn version, i havent tried to update yet as i have some shopping to do first.

You can download 1.01, but not the ingame updates.

As far as I know, the 1.01 update can only be applied when you start the game - The only source available to it is your internet connection. So no, I don't think you can restore the patch from an external disk.

One possible way around this would be to find a friend with a PS3, install version 1.0 and copy your game save across. Earn your 20million, save the game and transfer the game save to your own patched PS3.
 
I got a connection error, anyone know what this is about? I was reading and people were saying patches but I done this too so I was just wondering in case my game is 🤬 from here on out.

Sort of what I am doing i have two ps3's one has version 1 other has 1.1 all I have to do is copy my save and transfer my disc , I buy 20 Mercs everytime I do a swap , so far after a few hours I have the top 200 most expensive cars and 85 vision cars in my garage to sell , but haven't drove a single mile in gt6 yet

I can see it now, Sony sues all people who used the glitch . 1 day later xbox does a commercial saying play xbox, we promise never to sue our customers lol end of Sony and pd
 
Personally, I have absolutely no problem paying for DLC car and track packs. Did it for all the GT5 DLC. When you start asking people to pay real money for in game credits, then we have a problem. They really shouldn't be shocked that so many people are upset and exploiting this glitch because of it. I doubt that message will sink in though.

Yes. I've done it twice, I just let it download overnight.
 
Buying a 2nd hand ps3 to do the glitch is cheaper than buys GT6 credits to buy a 20 millioncr car .....

This is a awful way to respect your true fans - the vision Kaz has is his bank account getting bigger nothing about granturismo we all be lied to for over a decade ..... Now we are aware who wants to per order GT7
 
If only Sony/PD would have done it this way.

When I clicked on it, it told me that could not find the car. Will I be able to get those back when I download the 1.01 version again? If I lose those I would be a bit mad but I can't hate too much after getting these cars for nothing. Can anyone give me some info on this so I can rest assured they will be there after work today?

Re-download the the activation key from the PS store download list in account management.
 
So guys, I'm not going to run any update until everything checks out. If any of you gets banned or have his garage/money reset, please let me know so that I continue playing offline until either I'm bored of the game or it's safe to update.

Patch the game to version 1.01 and download 15th anniversary gifts from PS store. After that they will work.

Download the v1.01 patch again, then do to your Account Download History and re-download the AE pack(s).
 
Let's face it. Gt6 is what gt5 should of been. It was a long wait for 5 and we all spent hours building up our credits and cars not to mention tuning. My garage is as well stocked now as it was in gt5. Thank you glitch makers

Yes this works. Do an entire backup of your HD with the 1.01 patch. Have your glitch cars in the game saved on USB thumb drive. Delete the Game Data file and reload GT6 in 1.00 mode from disk. Do the sell and buy in Version 1.00. Save your game to a different USB thumb drive.

Restore your HD using the backup, you are now back to version 1.01 with the OLD save on the HD. Copy over your save on the latest thumb drive, overwrite the HD save. You are good to go with the 1.01 and all of the purchased cars.

I did it twice, once to make sure it worked and then with over 1 billion in cars bought (50 times 20,000,000). Took three hours total. If they restrict the selling of cars on Version 1.02+ I will have 50 million credits and all the expensive cars I need. The reason I did this is because of the wear factor on the chassis. You will be going through so many credits replacing cars or restoring the chassis. My internet connection is slow, the first time I did a 1.01 update took 2 hours and failed three times.
 
BMW M4 also gives 20 million when sold this way. edit, already known
