20 Standard cars you would want as Premium

All the DTM cars.
Maybe a few RUFs.
Suzuki Escudo.
Ford GT40 race car.
LeMans cars.
Rally cars.

Favouring the racers (as it's a racing game), but honestly, I could probably name 800 or so.

However the only advantage to me of premium models is photomode, as I use bumper view and rarely watch replays.
 
Why so much hate for the Veyron? I'll admit that it's not my favourite car in the world nor the best looking but I do believe in credit where credit is due and you have to hand it to Volkswagen for going through with it's development and eventual production. That, I think, deserves the Premium treatment. :-)

Agreed, although I lean towards race cars, the Bugatti is a piece of motoring history that cannot be ignored. I would welcome a premium Veyron.

I don't believe that claim.. GT5 was in development for what? 5 years? So thats two cars every year, according to the "6 month theory", which if you do the math, is only 10 cars total for 5 years of development, and we have about 200, so you can see why I don't believe that when people say that.. any way contributing to the original topic

6 months of work-hours and 6 months are entirely separate things.
 
I don't have 20, but I know one I would love to see as a premium would be the Mustang GT350.

That would be amazing!

actually it was only 3 because you have forgotten about PD's other projects and not to mention GT5 prologue
and they don't just spend 6 months doing the visuals that normally takes 6 weeks but think about how long it takes to get the handling data and sounds then consider that they had also had to do some of the new standards
 
+1 on the Dodge Charger 440 R/T. It just showcases how bad the standard cars can look. I don't need a cockpit and custom wheels, I would just like it to look like it belongs in a PS3 game instead of PS1.

Some great lists there and i would happily take any of them, i must admit all the Le Mans cars deserve a premium upgrade as has been mentioned and as many of you pointed out the Supra should have been premium especially the GT models ( Woodone, Denso, Cerumo etc) i dont know how realistic it is but i'm hoping to see a few brand new additions to the car list just to bring the list up to date. When you think of GT4 and how current the car list was
( we had the concept version of the audi R8 for petes sake years before it came out )
 
I don't really like this 'standard' 'premium' thing, the way I see it the game contains 831 nice looking cars (maybe the odd exception , Civic 87 race car etc) and as a 'see what we can do when we try' kind of thing there are 200 jaw droppingly superbly detailed, ultra time consuming, photo realistic cars as an icing on the cake.

I grew up playing 8 bit games like Outrun and chase HQ, so I especially appreciate the immense graphics of GT5.

I know this deviates from the original question though.
 
I hear ya Bailout. But while we are requesting premium cars that we will probably never get, the NFS series is planning an expansion pack to add 15 cars to the 140 they have. Sure we've got 1000 in total, but a good chunk of those are dups (like 30 some odd Miatas when only 3 are necessary).

PD needs to get with the program and start adding premium cars to the collection. Either by remodeling ones it has already or adding new ones.

As much as i'd love to see S cars turned into P, extra new cars would be more exciting.

Just tuned a Fiat Coupe, goes like stink. I would like a premium one of those though please.
Spoon Civic as well.

I also see that the Nardo Concept is getting a lot of love. I've been looking for it for ages. Now there is one in my UCD but, I don't have the $£$£'s to buy it :grumpy:
Now I have to wait until PSN comes back so old bobby banker can be abused again.
