$200 Premium "recertified" console on buy.com! Tell me if this is would be wise buy?

That depends on if they will honor the 3 year warranty for the red lights and how much is left. My initial thought is no.

edit: Supposedly they are dropping the price to $299.99 in July.

M$ will honour the 3 year warranty IF it is not registered to someone else! If it is then the person it is registered to has to call M$ and transfer the console into the new owners name.

So its just luck of the draw really.

If the console has been repaired PROPERLY (as in new motherboard, and whatever else was wrong with it) then it will be as reliable as a new console.

But seeing as there is no way to tell until after you bought it I would avoid it and buy new!
