We're just that fast. Just kidding. I guess we'll have to see throughtout the season. I was pushing hard 'cause I knew I wouldn't have a lot of practice time.

Now we're in Paris, which is one of my weaker tracks. I guess we'll see what happens.

WOW...I knew I should have ran one more time! lol 4 seconds or so off

Looking forward to round 2.

haha awsome stuff... the no.1 position leading the way... and a GMR 1,2.. good stuff bleurabbit7... is the astra quiker... i dont think so, i just knew my way around Montegi very well. The streets of Paris, have done a couple of laps there already, spend the first couple of days learning turning in some hot laps before a couple of shots at the race.

I am pretty happy with my race to... I did the race once and on one pit stop stratagy...så of course I am very happy to finish in the points...

good luck in round 2 everyone

I've been doing some practice races. I haven't completed any yet as I keep spinning out. I just quit because it'll be a slow time.

THOUGHTS ON THE TRACK:
I hate it. There's not enough room. Every corner I take, the wall seems to jump closer to me to give less room to turn. The course is bumpy as all hell (throws my car everywhere). Having AI's race with me sucks even more because they take the little space (and then some) that I have. Sorry for the vent. I'm going to take it like a soldier and run with it.

Fastest lap so far was a mid 1:17. That was with R4/R5 sprint at the end.
Fastest R3 was mid 1:19. I'll run more later.

Had another run before going to bed. This time completing the race. Race was a little smoother, more to my liking. If I can get it smoother with more consistant laps, I can cut the time down to the next minute.

I'll post some split times when I get home on Thursday, I forgot to do it last night (dang wrs anyway! ;)) I've attempted this one once and I want to trim a LOT more time and I can over 30 laps, then again if I get out of rhythm I may lose it back quickly...hhmmm....this ever happen to anyone besides me? LOL.

I hated the round 1 track (Motegi) but I like this one a lot. It's one of the few track I am familiar with. This is kind of a sew-saw championship for me. I like Paris and Suzuka and I have no clue about the rest. Hopefully I will perform better than the 8th placed finish last time.

I didn't get a chance to run for this round until today. Did 9 laps on RM tyres with a fastest lap of 1'19.283. Still haven't worked out my stratergy.

Just put in another run today. I think I finally got my groove for the track. Melted 20 seconds off the final time. I changed my pit schedule and tyre setups. I think it really helped. But I must get faster.

Fastest lap on R2/R3: 1:19.585
Fastest lap on R3/R4: 1:18.814
Fastest lap on R4/R4: 1:17.095

This is a track I used to have no idea how to run cause I tend to hate the city tracks (execpt for seatle and tokoyo cause they give such little room) but I am actually starting to like paris I can't wait till the nurburgring course though. :) well on this track I have hit 1:18.8XX with R3/R4 thanks to some help from my teammate and I have been going on a three pit schedule so my times have been pretty constant.

turned in my first laps on the track.....

on RS's allround.... 1'15.252, could easily be a 1'14.5xx by the end og the week.
mite run the race tonight, thinking either a 2 stop stratagy, anyone know how long a set of RM's last on the track??

This is what I gathered on tyres:
Hard's last 11 laps, 12 if you want to push
Medium's last 8 laps
Soft's last 5, maybe 6 laps

Here's my pit schedule: 8, 15, 23 so depending on you drive and how the laps go for ya 8 if ur generous on the tires, if I want to try to trim my lap time then I tend to pit 7. With RM's its a 3 pit schedule and I have run a 1:18.3xx on the RM's. I have my top speed at 260 as well fyi. Hope it helps, if u need anything else feel free!

I am such an idiot sometimes, its not even funny. I managed 1'18.313 on RM tyres and I was having my best race of the week until I missed the pit stop on lap 16. Somehow resisted the temptation to throw away my controller. I still haven't finished a race yet.

Now I won't be racing until Saturday as I am very busy with resume and job interview tomorrow. :yuck:

Thanks jump_ace for the pit schedule.

I have a 1'16.9XX on RM/RS and had my top speed set at 310. The only thing is if you are ruff on the tires they will give you a good 6 laps while laps 7 will be a 1'20.XXX and coming out of the pit the first lap should be around 1'32.XXX

yer im thinkin a 3 stop stratagy on RM's allround will be the go, maybe RM fronts RS rears... i dont know will see wen i run the race tonite

@ls2_297, I tried putting on RM/RS's and I trimmed a little over 30 sec (and dropping my top speed to 270 from 280) it will help a LOT.

I got a faster lap of 1:17.552, I really wasn't going for more than that as I DID NOT want to re-race the F*'er...lol. My second time around will be my last...now back to WRS! If anyone wants some tips feel free to pm me! Oh! and once my teammate sends me his replay I'll post them for u'all to see here:http://www.jumpace.com/gt/GT4DTM.htm

I just got a faster lap of 1'16.500 but if yall want tips yall better be willing to pay..... nah just messin with ya and shaved another 30 seconds off my final time so right now I'm feelin pretty good

RM fronts and RS rears........ this seems the best combo for the race..

just finished the race then.. 3 stop stratagy, pitted on lap 8,16 and 24. Did the last stint with RS's allround. Best lap of 1'15.109. Only one accident, a spin exiting the corner leading onto the back straight. Total time in the very early 40min bracket... lets hear some other total times eyy??

Congrats to ls2_297 and his team mate bleurabbit7 with a great result. 👍
for round 1.
And to Kenny with a nice podium place.

Paris will be a 5 stopper for me.
Anyway that are the plans. :nervous:

Thanks :)

I'm going to start round 2 now.

Oh wow.

I do not like this combo.
First of all the AI are very much in my way.
Second my car doesn't even seem like the same car - on Motegi it was calm smooth and in control - here on Opera it understeers like hell and is constantly spinning the tires...

Did 2 races today.
The second was 30 sec. faster but I saw in the replay that the first 7 laps need some improvement.
Maybe I run another one.

I put the speedsettings to 250 and used only racing-soft.
Had to pit 5 times but laptimes are all close to 1'15 or 1'16.
I hope to gain time with this strategy despite the many pit stops.
The AI was at -10 with supersoft tires.
They had to pit so many times that I only saw them a few times on the track.
Again fun till the end. 👍

did my final run... same stratagy as before, pumped out a best lap on 1'14.221.... total time somewhere in the 39min range 👍

WOW!!!!

Great time there buddy. As of right now, you're about a minute faster than me. I'll have another race (or 2) tonight.

Hey ls2_297, what driving style do you have man ?

No matter how I drive, my front tyres will always wear out faster than the rear ones and RS tyres won't last longer than 6 laps. So I can't use your stratergy. My overall time somewhere in the 40min wilderness.

I need to change my driving style. Maybe that's why I am so slow.

I had my final race tonight. I'm exhausted from working outside in the heat. I knocked off another 11 seconds.

See ya at the awards show.
