1. Get a job.
2. Get new computer with job money.
3. Get all HL2-engine games using job money and play them on said computer.

I've actually made a list of New Years Resolutions:

get back to school and finish the 11th grade
pass my license test on the first try
own my own car (insurance and registration in my name)
get a part time job
try and lose some weight while gaining a bit of muscle

(the first 4 are likely to happen, the last one I don't know yet)

tabs
1. Take up smoking.
2. Drop out of school.
3. Kick more puppies
That's the way, aim high, brother!

I'm wondering how many people have broken some New Year's Resolutions yet.

Wow. Mine are all done and it's already New Year's. Grrrr. i even beat a friend's Underground one.

1. better grades
2. lose weight to stop being a fatass...but thats what football is for.
3. Get a girl. yeah Right 👎

actually come to think of it, cancel out all the new years resolutions i said earlier, as i thought of a better one last night while i was lying on my mates floor after drinking too much red bull and vodka....it was a drunkin random thought, but i thought about it more in the morning when i sobered up and it was a great resolution

...Just be happy!! Enjoy life some more

i went througha phase last year where i just wasnt happy, everything seemed to be going against me, and i was down and somewhat depressed. this lasted for about 6 months or so. i know i dont want to go through that ever again!

now that i've finished school and starting a new phase of my life, im gonna just enjoy it, dont take anything too seriously, and just be all-in-all happy!!

I know how you feel man, I have had the same feeling of depression throughout the year :indiff: I guess I've got one more year of it left though :guilty:

Well I'm on a high for the first time in about 3 years. Finally, I don't feel like everything sucks in my life, and I actually feel like something has meaning, regardless of my father.

But I have a late New Year's Resolution:
Spend less money and save up for registration and insurance for my car. Seriously, I could had easily the right amount of money, but somehow, I've been stuck on $200 for the last 2 months. :indiff: I've been going halves with people in beer and Jack Daniels, but not so much that it's overboard, so I really don't know where the rest of my money has been going.

I've also got the same feeling of depression, except it's been with me for the last 3 years. I feel as if there is no real purpose to my life right now, since high school seems extremely pointless to me. Thank god I've only got to deal with this for 6 more months. Then I graduate, and I can move on with my life finally.

Yeah, I know many people about my age who feel the same way, I assume you are also around 17? It seems very common :indiff:

Yep, I'm Seventeen, Single and Sad (Depressed We all know why ;) I won't go into it). The 3 ****ty S's

Well I had that feeling for 4 years. I'm now the happiest person on GTP! :D

Just stick it out guys, it all will come right in the end. I never thought anything would work out for me, but everything just turned around. So just keep the hope there and it will all start to eventually turn around. I mean, I was very bad. The fact that I'm not suicidal in any way, nor did I even consider it, is a very good thing. So take it from me, guys, Blake knows how bad I got, and I know how he can get.

So listen carefully: Keep some hope there, don't do anything stupid, try and enjoy yourself whenever you can. This means, when you feel a bit depressed when you're out, don't let it ruin your time out. That was one thing that I made a big mistake with. I let depression take over a lot of times, and it ruined a lot of good times I could have had. So please, just try as hard as you can to keep the depression in the back of your mind and have as good-a-time as you can.

Something will turn you around, whether you believe it or not. I didn't believe it, but it happened. Keep positive.

Hope that bit of advice can help as much as possible.

thanks for the advice, and i know things can turn around. things have allready started to turn around. looking back, it seems comical at some of the things that i was depressed at back then. But add everything together and it hits ya hard. but things are improoving, my job is improoving, i dont think ive been closer to my friends than ever now, and i'm always meeting new people now. things are looking good. all i need now is a car and my licence and ill be set!

Impossible for me. I never even go out at all.

Same here :grumpy:

Things are kinda looking up for me. I have a job, I too am meeting new people (That means Females too), I may be able to go to England bymyself to see family I haven't seen for 2 years. That's a big plus.

It's really just that big hole in my heart, which I try to fill with stupid crushes and never anything real.

Exellent advice there Matt 👍

My only New Year's resolution is to get away from the damn computer and get out some more with friends and so forth. Although, I can't say I've really tried so far...:indiff:
