I know it was the 'Dixie' group, the guy sounds kinda familiar. The event is actually in south Georgia.

JD is the regional executive. Good guy. I used to run with the Dixie region for years until they had to move the event to Bainbridge. They used to run it by the old airport terminal.

I finally spotted a SE-R on the road few days ago.

As a Nissan Expert, all I can say is Altima SE-R is very nice.
Sure it's got a weaker engine compare to now 300hp-ish G35 Coupe, but it is in fact, faster in acceleration due to weight advantage.
It's 0-60mph is even faster than 265hp Maxima and G35's.
2005 SE had 5.9 seconds and SE-R suppose to be even faster.
All I can say is Altima is very very fast. Fastest for huge sized sedan that is.
Roomier than Camry, Accord, anybody.
Altima's resale value is higher than camry.
Nissan just don't sell out image like Honda does (VTEC powered doesn't mean it can compete with 260hp 250 torque). Nissan keeps quite but in fact they produce performance-wise very nice cars.

Note: It's great for FF midsized sedan that is. But really great.

Idiot lights aren't all that idiot-proof. Once I drove with my tailgate open for about a 1/4 mile before I figured out where all the wind was coming from, despite the dash light.

 When they actually call you an idiot they are!

Really? I gotta get that feature.

Now that I think about it I don't even know where the parking brake light is. I always remember to take it off. There is a light that says "Don't forget key" and shows a picture of a key, though.

we both got a laugh out of it. It's scary how much power that thing has though. Neither of us noticed that the handbrake was on until I pushed it past 60km/h. The thing was *still* moving like a rocket... but it started to shudder a lot after 60 with the handbrake. After that though, it had me pinned to the seat. I don't think I pushed it past 3rd gear for most of the drive. I pushed the car to around 80kph before letting up off the gas for fear of getting pulled over.

for auto transmission, try semi-auto
it revs rpm higher, thus more power
if u haven't try, u will b surprised again

oh yeah, if it's a new car. i wouldnt recommend rpm over 3000 :)

All in all, you're pretty much safe getting any nissan or Toyota...Not the same for chevy tho, im not too sure what you see in them. Also, didn't Toyota provide an engine for a nissan and the Lotus Elise? im not sure what nissan model it was but im pretty sure that one of them is cruisin around with a Toyota engine under there. The lotus elise has a tuned Celica GT-S/Corrolla XRS engine making 190hp.

Well, I don't like Toyota either.
But they are people from YOUR COUNTRY who are giving car of the year, best selling car, best this, best that, etc to those Toyota models in US.
Not me or people in Japan.
I see that you love European cars, just like me or any other, but don't just say Japanese sucks because you hate them personally. I predict that you are not going to say American cars suck either.
Just don't bias your opinion on your personal preference.
