Welcome to Grand Valley Speedway for round 1 of the Formula GT World Championship. 62 laps of the Grand Valley circuit here in Bahrain will certainly take its toll on the tyres, and no doubt on the drivers concentration.

Race info:
2006 Formula GT Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. March 6-12.
Circuit: Grand Valley Speedway.
Length: 3.07 miles.
Laps: 62

GT Mode / Extreme events / Formula GT Championship / Grand Valley Speedway.

Deadline is March 13th for Australia and New Zealand and March 12th for Europe and America.

Have fun, all the usual OLR rules apply, small bumps and anything that DOES NOT give an advantage are accepted just dont make a habit of them. The concrete strips on this circuit are not part of the circuit.

Send to me in this format:

Team Name:
Driver:
Time:
Fastest lap:

Good luck:D

ash - what info and how do you wanted formated for race results/qualifing?

Ashley.
Deadline is March 13th for Australia and March 12th for Europe and America.

Does that mean anytime prior to the moment the clock ticks over to the 13th, or does it include the 13th?

cool, we're starting. I'll see if i can do this over the weekend. Of course, i'll get some practice laps in first to see what lines i'll need to take for the corners.

:D This is gonna rule, take about an hour and a half wouldn't you say?

i think we should all try to do it in real time with the actual GP. Then again, i'm not too sure many people would want to, since they'd want to watch the real race.

You forgot New Zealand mate

Hey I was just wondering what are the rules to do with these two particular corners, the exit of the second to last corner and what I would call the 2nd apex of turn 6, both these corners have large pieces of concrete stuff, are we allowed to go fully four wheels across these things or not?

No, the concrete strips are not part of the track.:D

Il update the first post.

:dopey: Ran some test runs last night. Man this is fun, a good start to the series, a fast open track w/ a few twisty parts. Consistancy is what will win this weeks race. 👍 👍

here in the USA the race starts at 6 a.m.

It starts at 3 on this side of the nation.

There's no way I'm getting up that early for GT4.

8:30 AM here but I'll watch the real race at the time, thank you.

even though i didnt sign up, i think i'll give this race a crack
i have never driven an enduro race b4, well, cya, (oh yeah, is it ok to sign up still)

I keep making mistakes in the middle of my stints, when I should be flying.

I guess I'm just racing for points this week.

I don't seem to be able to go more than 2 or 3 laps without having the mother of all accidents through the flat out turns of 3 and 4 :(

26-27s? im right about there :)

my hands are tingly after 5 laps though ... 62 out to be interesting! haha. or will that be 124? :p

:dopey:  my times are alot better than i thought, getting consistant 1'24.xxx's.
Finally got a fairly clean race in w/ only minimal off's here and there. Will be giving it one more try, prob. tonight.
