Next championship race:

Formula GT Gran Premio Fosters Di San Marino 2006. April 17-23
Circuit: Infineon Raceway Sports Car Course
Length: 2.52 miles
Laps: 76

This event harkens back to the days when the Eifelrennen was run by F2 cars, instead of its current status, which is non-existent.

Strangely enough, I've never run the FGT in GT mode. Will have to give this a try!

My best lap's about 5'18 right now, but I can't get this car set without a couple of spins per lap. I don't like administering downforce all over the place, but it looks like that's what I'll have to do.

5'15.xxx so far. Car settings very soft with full downforce. Same problem, losing the car way to often. Practicing for the JGTC right now, will give it another try during the weekend.

where are you guys having problems? ive bad snap over steer at stupid fast cornering speeds (5th gear and above) and generally at the apex. it helps a lot if in areas where you know you could spin, go to nuteral throttle to hold a consistint corner speed.

if youve a small slide, dont counter steer as itll fix itself. if youve some major spin and tc enabled (heh, im running tc = 1) floor it and counter steer. if youre lucky youll save it but youve to catch it as it goes (can you tell this is one of my favorite track/car combos? :D )

My problem is that the car keeps its direction on the kerbs, and I go off to the inside of the corner. I really just have to take care to run smoothly through corners in the first four sectors and add just a bit of rear downforce, taking off from the suspension.

wow, thats a great set up if you can use curbs ... they usually send me into the outside grass.

Yeah, they send me to the inside. I'm trying to lighten the mechanical grip as much as possible and just rely on aerodynamic.

I was about a second ahead of empty space's t3, but then I had a pretty bad spin. I won't give splits because I know I can improve the time.

Hey dudes, 5'10.927, now if I could only complete the lap without spinning or crashing...

I lengthened my top 2 gears to get the most speed in S2 and down the long straight. I redline at 355 km/h and spend most of my time on the straight at 347.

Hey dudes, was just sitting here with nothing to do so I decided to do this time comparison between myself, The Internet and [empty space]

The Internet
Are you redlining down the straight?
My car sits on 216 and will blip up to 217 or down to 215 whenever I hit a bump in the road. Im using driving aids, I tried turning them off but it appeared to make no difference, maybe my suspension is too soft or something.

On the downhill section my car rapidly goes from 216 to 217 and back over again, got as high as 218 and as low as 212, I wasnt watching my replay too closely but I may have lifted through the S bend. Also after watching my replay I didnt exactly have the greatest run through the flat out right hander that leads on to the long straight, I touched the grass on the inside and was forced to lift off the throttle to keep the car from running wide and hitting the wall on the outside, but still I dont think it was so bad a mistake to make me lose 9 tenths of a second between T10 and T11.
