hpoefully they will have a good race in germany , isn't time to start a thread about that anyway?
Fine! Seems I have to do everything around here.

I don’t have much to say, though. So let’s just hope for a good Grand Prix. 👍

Predictions:
  1. M. Schumacher
  2. F. Alonso
  3. G. Fisichella
  4. K. Räikkönen
  5. R. Schumacher
  6. P. de la Rosa
  7. N. Heidfeld
  8. M. Webber

Finally, Hockenheim is almost here, yay! Michael Schumacher will take this race :) My tips are as follows:

P1. Michael Schumacher
P2. Kimi Raikkkonen
P3. Felipe Massa
P4. Ralf Schumacher
P5. Mark Webber
P6. Giarncarlo Fisichella
P7. Rubens Barrichello
P8. Jarno Trulli

Where is FA? DNF, that is where he is in my predictions :D

MS

Blake, where is your pretty track maps? and 4000 word essay about the up and coming race?

You dissapoint me :grumpy: 👎

That aside i hope MS wins and Alonso has a DNF or finishes low down.

:(

Yeah Blake, lift your game.

I'm hoping for a strong McMerc performance, testing in Jerez was encouraging and I hope it's a sign of good things to come but I'm tipping Schumi for the win.

Let's be nice to Blake. I'm sure he's working on that pretty track map for us :p

Two people predict a DNF for FA? That would make the season more interesting. I'd have to guess a MS win this weekend.

http://www.formula1.com/news/4707.html

So even if Fernando Alonso does win this race, it's possible he'll be stripped of the win.

Question is, why would Renault take such a risk? If Fernando Alonso wins, then is stripped of his victory he faces losing considerable ground to MS.

The championship could certainly do with a non-finish for Alonso.

Some pictures of Michael Schumacher for good measure, He also had a yellow shirt.

Ooh, I'd love a DNF for Alonso too, but I reckon he'll finish as usual, but not so close to Michael. FP2 times as follows:

1 Kubica BMW M 1:16.225 134.231 mph
2 M Schumacher Ferrari B 1:16.502 0.277
3 Doornbos Red Bull M 1:16.549 0.324
4 Raikkonen McLaren M 1:17.040 0.815
5 Massa Ferrari B 1:17.205 0.980
6 Davidson Honda M 1:17.294 1.069
7 Webber WilliamsF1 B 1:17.344 1.119
8 de la Rosa McLaren M 1:17.516 1.291
9 Barrichello Honda M 1:17.519 1.294
10 Button Honda M 1:17.542 1.317
11 Fisichella Renault M 1:17.672 1.447
12 Trulli Toyota B 1:17.844 1.619
13 R Schumacher Toyota B 1:17.895 1.670
14 Wikelhock Midland B 1:17.962 1.737
15 Alonso Renault M 1:18.082 1.857

I know they don't really mean that much, but I can't recall Alonso being that slow in practice very often, so unless he's taken to sandbagging, it looks like he might struggle a bit this weekend. 👍

I'm going for:

1. MS
2. KR
3. FM
4. FA
5. MW

I'm always wrong though.

HAHA. I agree. Although what is up with the Mass Damper on the Renault and the stewards disallowing it?.. OH how ironic FIA lets it go meanwhile the stewards challenged the car.

actually its the other way around the FIA banned it but the stewards allowed the use of it , but Renault have said that they are not using them ??

Hopefully JV will get ditched for Kubica next season he is just amazing it these Friday practices he seems to be a quick driver , hopefully BMW will get in the points tomorrow

I predict a Ferrari 1 - 2 for both Qualifying and the Race (Massa will have a good race, you guys rate him too lowly) and I also predict that Webber will have reliability on his side for a change :)

I think about 7 teams have used, or are using, those mass damper systems. They are not illegal as they do not perform an aerodynamic function.

The original banning was because the FIA claimed that they were a moving aerodynamic device. They play no (direct) role in the aerodynamics of the car, they only perform a mechanical role. Thus, the stewards found them legal.

why is the FIA being so strict anyway , they might actually ruin the whole season for us with their stupid rules ..... if BMW doesn't get into the points it will be the FIA's fault :D:D

As long as they want to ban it for a genuine reason and not in the hopes of slowing Alonso down to make things more interesting (not that they have to).

It just didn't seem like a GTP Grand Prix thread without a Blake track map. :D

Since everyone is predicting an Alonso non-finish, I'll provide the counterpoint.

My prediction is that everyone BUT Alonso will DNF, and the FIA will temporarily change the points structure so that Fernando gets 100 points for this win. Season over.

So...

1. Alonso
2. Doesn't matter
3. Doesn't matter
4. Doesn't matter
5. Doesn't matter
6. Doesn't matter
7. Doesn't matter
8. Doesn't matter

17. Doesn't matter
18. Doesn't matter
19. Doesn't matter
20. Takuma Sato
21. That Yamamoto guy
22. Michael Schumacher, who will retire after the race, admitting that he no longer has "it".

Cool pictures, especially because my brother is a dj!

Not too sure about those white shorts though Schumi but at least you have the shoes to match :D

kylehnat: :ouch:

Happy 25th FA! Now, now! Michael Schumacher said sorry!

No Pole, but nevermind, still a good result! The race is going to be cool! Go Michael!

MS

Enjoyable qualifying session. Good to say some distance between Schumacher and Alonso. Great pole from Raikkonen too, but I reckon they measured the fuel in his car by thimble. Earliest scheduled stop in a race ever?

That was one hell of a qualifying session I tell you.

I think teh vertical wings have effected BMWs performnace , maybe they could do well in the race with a good startegy , but I won't get my hopes up :(

Unbelievable watching the lap on-board with Mark Webber, the speed they went through some of the corners on this track was insane, particularly the way they do the Mobile 1 Kurve (thanks Blakes map 👍), breaking for a split second then back on full power and throwing the car around the corner, that was just amazing . F1 Drivers :)

Totally agree. That in car lap was very impressive. Good to see Honda getting it together. I hope Button doesn't go backwards in the race.

Where are the qualifying results at? Guess I'll have to look at F1.com for those.

Hopefully, Kimi will keep Michael in the back and there won't be any problems in the pits.

I hope Alonso will get past Massa.
