Ugh those bloody ITV commentators. Theres only a handful of laps left and hamilton laps like .5 seconds quicker than massa: "HAMILTON IS ON A CHARGE! CAN HE WIN THE RACE?" no he cant, massa was just stuck in traffic.
He he, I noticed that as well... and I bloody hate it when they say "...and Hamilton LEADS the Grand Prix!", just after the race leader has pitted... as if a 'real' 2nd or 3rd place is not a good enough achievement for his first races...

@ BMW318ciC, hope you enjoyed the race Mohammed...! I was looking out for you in the crowd but then remembered that I don't know what you look like! :p

Yup was fun took some pics of the activited behind the main grandstand on sunday will post them up later , as I have to process 800 pics from Satuerday and Sunday :D:D

Can you really blame the commentators? I mean...first time Britain has had anything to shout about in the drivers championship for quite some time. Only success we've had since Hill has been Button's lone win last season.

Coulthard wont be happy upon hearing that. ;)

To be honest, I think we all expect James Allen to go off on one as soon as Hamilton breathes, just look at his explosion of spit and loud noises when Button won Hungary last season..

I thought the first two corners had the best commentary of the season BY FAR. Then the technical difficulties stopped and the sound started working again.

Hamilton, hats off to him. Fantastic start to his F1 career, but the way I see it, the worst he can do with a halfway decent set-up is fourth. And seeing how Massa wasn't in the picture at Melbourne, hosed up badly at Sepang and Alonso had a pretty off day here, the podiums are really not that much of a surprise. I would have been much more impressed if he was consistently in the points in a Williams or Toyota.
Maybe that way I'd get some commentary on the race too, which I would much prefer to OMG HE HAS NO IDEA HE HAS BECOME A NATIONAL TREASURE IN THE SEVEN WEEKS HE'S BEEN AWAY FROM BRITAIN...

Why don't Toro Rosso win? They have the best non-McLaren paintjob :(

To be honest I am getting slightly fed up with the amount of times the ITV crew has said his name! Yes he is an amazing driver and I think its great that the UK and Mclaren finally have a great (very great) driver but they dont have to spend the whole time before the race and through the race talking about him!

Usually the commentry from ITV is top notch with Martin Brundle and they try to cover the field well (like mention all the drivers and cars) but in Bahrain they seemed to not be as good...maybe it was too hot! was a great race though!

lol, true true, but when Coulthard gets on the podium again I'll retract that statement, til then...

I think the commentators are just getting caught up in the biggest thing (in their eyes) in the sport they commentate in. Brundle will calm down in time unless he wins the championship this season...as for Allen...well...let's not go there lol

James Allen wants to give birth to the child of whichever British driver is performing the best at any given time. There's no other explanation.

i can't stand james allen, he's always trying to talk more than martin brundle...and always interrupting him...bring back murray i say...or at least dr jonathan palmer

Heh...former Cricket commentator Dickie Bird could do a better job then James Allen to be honest... Maybe if Davidson gives up racing sometime soon they'll boot Allen because he did alright during the Hungary GP, not to mention you'll then have someone who's driven recently and can offer opinions of driving and what it's like from now rather then from way back when Brundle raced.

Yeah, we have Luciano Burti as a commentator over here since 2005. The other two commentators are in the job for twenty years already but Burti does bring a different and refreshing view since he's been there already, and not too long ago.

I could see a DC/Button partnership in the commentary box in around 5 years.. :p

!

I think Allen and Brundle still have alot of life in them yet but I do agree they interupt each other way too much! and then don't go back to what they where saying... very annoying!
