You had me until you said under 20K. It isn't going to happen. Mid-20's is about as low as this car is ever going to go.

Well, if they make the profile less G35ish (rear window= a bit bigger perhaps?), make the grille a tad smaller, and do something non-generic with the wheels. Then I'd say they definitely have a car I'd want to buy.

Sure these are minor flaws, but then again, Porsche has been fixing minor flaws with the 911 for years. Now they've ended up with a 473hp monster, instead of one that turns a 1/4 mile in 17 sec (1968).

I have always been a fan of the G6 coup but I am not sure about this one. There may be a few too many boy racer add ons for me. A better looking less over the top hood and spoiler would make this look nice. I think it will perform well though.

...Well, keep in mind that this is just a concept version of the possible production car. I'm going to guess the spoiler will decrease in size, and the bodykit to become less agressive. But the grille will probably stay rather large (like it did with the Grand Prix GXP and Solstice GXP), and mechanically speaking, very little will change.

So this is the forthcoming Pontiac G6 GXP Coupe? Let me sound off, my man. By the way, I am expecting someone to be like "at least it looks better than (some car I like in its class), so STFU, nüb!"

Okay, it's time to dig my flow.

Poor G6... it suffered a tragic fate. Someone at the Pontiac design boards was envisioning a beautiful swan, when the designer(s) was/were cursed into creating an ugly duckling that scares children and kills beautiful plants. The only portion of the car I have sympathy for (I'll admit) is the rear wing. I would have preferred something like a low touring car-style wing than this. I wouldn't mess with the hood of the car. When out in public, what is the first thing people notice about you? Right- your appearance up front. Depending upon what kinds of people you're around, some will compliment and spoil you, some people will laugh at you and feel sorry for you being so horrid and all out there. The first thing you'll see from this (or any other car) machine is the front. I would have preferred the older style grill they used compared to this rabbit-toothed or gopher-toothed style grille. Even my two front bucked teeth look better than this grill. I would instantly make the grill vertically shorter to where it matches up with the bottom line of the headlights. Either that or use a 2003 GTO-style grill. After all, if newer designs stink, it's never too late to go old school.

Can I be honest about something? No, this is a compliment. I actually think the Pontiac G6 is a nicely-styled car. Just that some of the dimensions can use a lot of work to make me get excited about it. If Pontiac wants to deliver excitement, they need to actually come up with something enticing on the outside so I can at least know what kind of damage I can do on the road or the track. Excitement is in the Pontiac Solstice. It was the only modern designed Pontiac I like other than the recently-sacked GTO. I think if more of Pontiac's cars can draw inspiration from the beautiful Solstice, I may like their autos a bit more. I always want to give an auto maker a chance. I've always imagined the kinds of specs on a car, then the design mated to these specifications. If I can see myself in a car that isn't too good to be true, then I'll love and appreciate the specs as well as the design of the automobile. Somehow, only the Solstice and the recently-sacked GTO do it for me with Pontiac's recent designs. This is a sports coupe, right? It has that muscle to it, but I think it's a little too aggressive looking. Overaggression in car design makes an otherwise sporty car into a demon no one dares get near. This model is a good start, just remodel the front much better.

How about my approval? Out of 100% approval of the car, I'm giving this 55% approval. Okay, defend Pontiac. By the way, the interior isn't bad.

Well, it is only a concept, so a lot of the boy-racer pieces are going to dissapear once the car goes into production, or will just be optional.

They are shooting for a price/performance advantage here, and if they can get this thing out the door for around $25K, they are in business. Undercutting the GLI, Mazdaspeed6, and TSX will be key here, and I think GM can do it.

..Well, its much more agressive than the origional G6 GXP concept which I belive debuted last year at SEMA. That used the sedan platform, and sourced Cadillac for their 3.6L DOHC V6 and six-speed manual. IMO, that would be a better way to go with 255HP SMOOTH horsepower, and a better shifting six-speed. But, the beancounters got their way, and the extra horsepower and torque is going to help to make the car faster by days end. Hopefully the boys at GXP will use the same engineering ideas from the Grand Prix GXP to make this car handle, as the G6 GXP is going to be chasing down the Mazdaspeed6, VW Jetta GLI, and Accord Coupe V6.

Here is a pic of the origional concept car:

Did that Concept come from the same place as that Orange GTO concept from a while back?

GM Performance Division I think. They typically have their hand in the souped up versions of GM cars.
