I had to go with the Corvette and the CTS. The Corvette continues to be my yardstick by which all cars are measured, so it was an easy choice. As for the second, after a bit of thought (I was really thinking about the Malibu and Fusion), I decided to go with the CTS. For a car that wasn't much in its previous generation, GM has done a good job of making a globally competitive car out of (seemingly) nothing. Its impressive inside and out, and at least in my opinion, far superior to some of the other foreign competition.

I voted the Corvette and the CTS, one is the best sports car (ACR Viper excluding, it uses downforce galore to achieve its performance, not that that's bad, but we all know the Corvette is a better design) the US has to offer and beats car thrice its own price, and the other is the best sedan the US has to offer, amazingly refined, and just for kicks holds the Nürburging fastest sedan lap record. They both look great as well.

Edit: Oh, and I'll leave the G8 for Australia (W427 ) and the Solstice, while a great car, could have a more refined engine.

Unsurprisingly, I've notched up a vote for the PT, and I've also gone for the Cobalt SS because it's an amazing bargain for the performance it offers, and it looks pretty good too. Why Europe gets the Lacetti when we could have something like the Cobalt is beyond me.

It has a god awful interior which is why I couldn't bring myself to vote for it, the rest of the car is good though.

You really need to sit in it, it feels cheap and flimsy which is a shame because the outside of the car looks great.

I think both cars do look great and have a considerable performance as a "sports compact" so to speak. It is also cheap to maintain and modify, so its a big hit with us tuners...... Could have voted for the other cars, but I'm too different to vote those other cars.

I voted for G8 because I could care less about the interior when I got a big honking beastly V8 roaring in front of me. Also voted for the CTS because it shows that us Americans can actually make cars!

It just has that look that I wanted in a car for years and better yet, it's a convertible too, this will be the first car I will definetly be getting, in fact maybe I'll buy myself 3 of these, I'll even sell my soul for this car, Pontiac created a masterpeice, If I had to choose only one American car I would choose the Solstice infinite%

I went an all Ford vote, Mustang and Fusion. I ALMOST voted for the G8 but something compelled me to vote for the Fusion instead.

Its not that bad, but it isn't going to take awards away from most Volkswagens. Considering what it replaced, yeah, its miles ahead of the Grand Prix.

Viper and Solstice. Viper because not even the Vette ZR1 could keep up with on the track, however say what you want about the down force, GM could have done the same thing. It looks by far the best IMO, and for that kind of money its hard to match that type of on and off track performance(say for that GTR thing)again IMO.The Solstice because I sat in one of those and except for the clutch it was pretty good in there. But I would say the Saturn Sky looks better.

I was going to vote for the Fusion... but really... with how good the new Mondeo and Mazda6 are... the frumpiness of the Fusion is a travesty of design... while I can forgive strange design (GT-R... errh.... GT-R...), I can't forgive uninspired design.

And the Mustang doesn't bring anything to the game that no Mustang before it did.

I had to go with the Corvette... for still being one of the most unique sportscars on the planet... and the Cadillac CTS, for pushing the state of American RWD forward into the 21st century.

Well at least it was unique when it first came out. What other good looking American convertible can you name me? Mustang convertible? Viper SRT-10? I agree that the Saturn Sky does look better than the Solstice, but it was based of an Opel GT so for sure it wasn't American.

Leave the G8 for Australia, and use the LS7 W427. I assure you is a beast.

I agree with you, the Solstice is stunning. Best ever? Probably not, but still very good.
