I voted for the CTS because it takes so much crap, and because it is actually not that bad of a car. The DB9 is the first time Aston really makes a [relatively] affordable sports car that's reliable and practical.

The CTS looks better every year, and i'm putting of lot of hope behind it.

I cannot understand why so many people voted for the Aston. The thing doesn't move the game along at all.

Hmmm... Which one was the DB9 again?

Ouch... You got me though. Added to that, I'm a bit of an Aston fan as well (well, more Jaguar than Aston).

Apples/oranges. 911 is a single model. Aston Martin is a brand made up of several.

But having said that...

And lest we forget the Cayenne was designed to match the rest of the range at the time as well.

Not that different.

Except sharing similarities in front end design is different from sharing similar lights, features, profile and size. Looked at any view other than head on, no one will ever confuse a 911 for a Cayman. Good luck with that regarding a V8 Vantage and a DB9.

Don't the fronts of all the cars from every brand look the same these days?

But the 911 ain't anywhere in the voting now... is it?

It did tie (I think?) the R8 in probably the toughest "primary." And that R8 is doing rather well.

Golly, I hope that DB9 gets taken out soon, that's very not technologically advanced, but I voted for it dang it I wish I had't done that

Hmmm... Which one was the DB9 again?

 The funny thing is, you left out like three cars which are ALSO dead lookalikes. The DB9 is a joke! If the UK voters who chose the DB9 had been objective we might have seen this go a different way...

Meh, that's alright. Its a good car either way... At least this has been "interesting" across the board the entire time.

The only way I'd vote Aston at this point is if it was a Vanquish vs a CTS...

At least that's what I think of when people say Aston Martin.

Page 2 of this thread is epic.

I've voted the CTS because it's an improvement for American cars... and any improvement is good. I guess the voting all comes down to whether it's "better" enough.

Riiiiiiight...... ;)

Agreed. I usually can't tell the difference between the V8, the DB9 or the Vanquish when looking at the front. :dunce:

I'll just let you know -- I've seen an absurd number of DB9s, V8 Vantages, and new XKs... and physically EVERY time I see an XK I get out my camera, thinking it's an Aston. what's really funny is that even the Rapide shares practically the exact same design as the coupes.

Interesting? The quarters are all landslide victories.

Interesting in the sense that there have been good arguments both ways that could make some have a different choice later on if they were allowed to. Or, maybe not...
